  1. Tips for removing 3M adhesive?

What do ya know-after checking all the hardware stores and paint stores, I found a can of 3M adhesive removed at Auto Zone. Alternating that with mineral spirits, I made a lot of headway today and I would say that one more session should do the trick. I ordered some of that Bestine-it should arrive in a couple days.
  2. Tips for removing 3M adhesive?

I will try that if I can find some dry ice in my little town. I understand it works on the floor. Since I need this on the inside of the roof, I will have to figure out how to hold it up there. Any pointers for that?
  3. Tips for removing 3M adhesive?

I'm pulling out my interior to have a roll bar installed. I won't be putting any interior back in. The vinyl above the windshield, along the a-pilars, and above the doors was installed with 3M spray adhesive in the 90s. Now, I can't get the adhesive off. Every solvent I have tried just makes the adhesive smear from place to place, but I can't dissolve it enough to get it off the painted metal. Anybody have a "miracle solvent" that I should try?
  4. 2017 Z NAtionals

Still waiting on cage. He's worth waiting for. Called and nagged him this week and he told me he'd call me in a couple weeks. I doubt I will bring the car, but will try to come with or without it. Can I put a Datsun sticker on my S10? Will likely be in the Honda minivan.
  5. New topstage z kit

Skyline-that body kit is insane! I have a bolt-on/bolt-off airdam that I use for standing mile. I have to transport the airdam in the bed of my truck and install it when I get to the event after my car is off the trailer. Even at 3" off the pavement, it is too low, when the front lip is way in front of the front tires, to allow loading/unloading. Perhaps someday I will make a version that comes on and off quickly with dzus fasteners. But other priorities at present.
  6. New topstage z kit

Looks great so long as you never try to load it on a trailer or go over a bump on the street, or jump curbing at the track, or take out a cone.

    I LIKE the grinder scarecrow!

I sold a rust free 75 280z shell to Adam Pettis in Noceville, FL a couple months ago. It would need a total going over, but if he doesn't want it, it could likely be had pretty cheap.

WCR axles retain the factory stub axles and you can't check the hidden nuts for loosening. I'm still a fan of 4-bolt Z31 axles for ease of servicing and durability. Unless the new WCR kit has CM or heat-treated billet splined axle stubs, you are still working with stock 40 year-old components.
  10. I have the JCI kit. The Hoke was not available when I did my swap. If I could go back, I would do the Hoke swap. If you will EVER consider a turbo, go with Hoke and a high-mount alternator for easy truck manifold clearance.
  11. Is this site dead?

I saw that at lunch and had a good chuckle. Brandon has the situation well in hand. I'm just glad that 15x3.5" rims fit with a 1-3/8" backspacing so I can fit 24x4.5 frontrunners inside the front fenders! Plenty clearance for future turbo piping. Good to see ya TonyD!

I have that sick feeling.....I'm so sorry, bro. You got two wrecking balls swinging between your knees, for sure. I was terrified just watching that from start to finish. My heart is still pounding. No way I'll ever have the courage to do that. So glad you are ok.
  13. Elegant in its simplicity! Which water pump and balancer are you using?
