ugh im about to start my processess aswell. some of it is rust so i have to get that off. i should be getting it within the week so ill be gettin started on it.

Ok so i know that a lot of you dont know because of the fact that im not to active on the site due to lack of a good internet source. I own a 1983 Datsun 280zx that i have never driven or herd run. i bought it knowing it was a restoration project but im am definitely going to be fixing this up to the top natch. heres some more. it has been 13 months since i have owed the car. i live in el paso and its in phoenix. so heres were i need help. the guy i bought it from said that the motor just needed to be time and it should run. well as well as adding all the fluids and stuff. im going in a month to pick it up and i want things to go smoothly as they can this time. seeings how the first attempt that i made to get the car my ex girl friend stole $4000 worth of my car parts the morning i show up to get it. so im lacking essentially all my interior pieces plus most of my detachable body pieces. the motor pieces im missing include the radiator fan, battery, battery cables, intake box and filter. i know that the engine parts are easily replaced but the exterior pieces arnt so easy. never the less f that stack as ho...but i really would like to see if you guys could through me some advice with tuning the motor to get it properly working before i have to toe it all the way back here. a major question i have is whats the best process to time the motor properly. and does anyone have file photo of some messed up motors so i can see the difference between a good motor and a bad one. any help will be GREATLY appreciated. seeings how every time i post no one seams to know what im talking about or just is to lazy to answer. so thanks to anyone who can help and it will be noted. **Disclaimer** OK now i also want to note that this is a serious topic and i am looking for serious answers. im not in an English class so my grammar, spelling, and punctuation IS NOT what i care about. i am posting as much info as i can about what i can to get the best available help i can. i am using NO FOUL LANGUAGE i have censored myself so for those of you that think that i have a "sailors" way of speaking. i am only here to get helpful answers. im trying to find a good useful design on a roll cage. so i guess this is to all who have roll cages or those who know a lot about designing them. If you could post the pics on here for the others who are interested in the same thing as i am. thanks

I Have Fc RX7 seats in my '83 280Zx. i dont kknow how they were mounted...they came with the car. but they look good and are comfortable.

Well im new to this forum and i wanted to through myself out there. so this is it.....nothing pretty.....yet This is the first time i saw it. This is on the tow ride back to the garage. My current plans as of now are as follows 1) removing everything from the car for a complete sand blast 2) autobody repair, paint, and tint 3) rims, tires, and suspension 4) Interior overhual. To include 350z seats, steering colom, door handles, possible gages, and mirros 5) VQ35DE motor swap with transmission 6) engine build from ground up 7) twin turbo 8) custom interior system work So it might seam like a lot but its workable. the current engine runs great as does everything else. so not realy much to fix. The body just needs to be smoothed out. I do need some stuff from you guys if at all possible. 1) fender flares...jdm style. i cant find them online or anywhere 2) possible ideas on mounting the VQ motor 3) Rims....i cant find any good looking rims that no one has, everyone seams to have the same rims and i want someting different. id like to find a stlye like the mustang boss rim but with a deeper dish and the 5 spokes to extend to the dish with out the buffer area. color and price arnt realy important. im going to flat black them anyways. 4) a good looking areo kit for it. i like the way that the 240z looks but i couldnt find one here. Just something to lower the body down a little nothing to agressive Everything else is pretty much takin care of. So thanks for any help you can give.
