  1. As a 20 year old with a turbo Z with a Tomei 2 way LSD, I can say that if I had this car when I was 15, the LSD would not only have given me a headache, but likely would've killed me. You must be of a mature enough age to safely enjoy LSD.
  2. Both of my rear megan shocks are seeping oil with under 200 miles on them.
  3. Very cool! I dig the theme park background.
  4. Wow. Never having welded anything before in my life I did a better job than that on mine. Get your money back! A better welder should be able to ad material to reweld the plates onto fairly easily. There is still plenty to work with there.
  5. Hey! This car was just on JNC blog! Nice to get a look under the hood at that amazing surge tank set up. I forgot how cool those are, it's been far too long since yetterben was around here.
  6. Lots of people are running them. Search and you'll find lots of pictures.
  7. Nice diagram! There have been a lot of colored diagrams popping up lately, definitely a big help.
  8. And I'm Junior! Hybrid Junior, is what they call me.
  9. Cool! I'm going to try this next time I have to drop my tank out. I'll let you know how it works out.
  10. I am looking for the harness that goes from the passenger side firewall, to the alternator, to the headlights, to the coil. I do believe that the same harness from a 77' would work as well. Let me know if you have one and how much you'd like for it, and we can work something out.
  11. Go for the stock setup. As a fellow youngster with similar issues, I suggest you go for the cheapest option now. A turbo swap is a lot to tackle for a 19 year old on a budget, I did it two years ago when I was 17 and am still not finished. Unforeseen issues will inevitably happen that will halt your progress, and living expenses dry your budget to where its hard to afford general maintenance if you're also installing upgrades. So I suggest you go for a simplistic, most cost effective solution so you can limit the hiccups and have Z car to enjoy while you're a poor American youth, rather one that's parked in your parents garage 175 miles from where you live. Anyone who says you're too young just did something wrong when they were our age. Persevere and you will have a kick ass z car in a few short years. Also, don't get your girlfriend pregnant. That will really kill the project.
  12. Brakes depend on budget and desired stopping power. You can upgrade the fronts to Toyota 4runner (not sure of exact years) calipers, which are 4 piston over then original 2 piston that came on the car and are a bolt on upgrade. Silvermine motors offers a few staged kits for front and back. Modern motorsports also has some brake parts. Arizona Z Car has a sick wilwood kit, though its a bit pricey. There are a few options out there. Surely more than the ones I listed.
  13. Found the ground on the passenger side of the block to be melted. I'll proceed to check all other grounds throughout the car to see their condition. I am not looking forward to rewiring things. Thanks for the input!
