  1. I picked up some '04 Miata seats from a forum member yesterday and put them in last night. He had them previously in a 260 with stock rails. The seat rails are different from a 280 where the rear mounts, so I swapped out the 280 rails and they fit like they were supposed to be there. I'm 6'1" and no headroom problems even with a helmet on. Here's a few pics.
  2. Those look great!! Some of these http://www.jegs.com/i/Auto+Meter/105/2234/10002/-1 would add some form and function to the three you installed where the heater controls were.
  3. As another option, weatherstrip from the Kia Sportage works very well as mentioned in a previous thread. I got some from a '97 that was clean and no rips for cheap at the jy. Installed in about 5-10 minutes for both sides and it works great and looks clean.
  4. Thanks Guys, I really couldn't pass it up at the time. It had been sitting for quite a while but I've got it running really good now. I plan on doing all the suspension and bushings next week and actually getting to enjoy driving it. The struts are shot and the bushings that are still there are all dried out so it's all over the road when I have driven it. I plan to put some late model Miata seats in to replace the stocks and a new carpet kit and the interior will be pretty much done. Then I'll get it prepped for paint, but it's pretty much a gravy job due to not much body work needed.
  5. Pretty new here and wanted to post up some pics of my sorta kinda "free" car I got from a friend. Doing mechanicals now and getting the interior cleaned up. Basically a no rust Ca. car but no V-8 in the plan since it's a '77 and I've got to do the emissions thing in Ca.
  6. First off, new to this site and I have searched before posting. Anyway, I have a stock '77 and I notice the tps is set to the WOT side constantly. When I attempt to adjust it to the idle side, the car begins to run very poorly and it will eventually die and not start again. As soon as it is set back to the WOT position, it runs fine. Do I have a bad tps or should I look elsewhere? BTW, the car has all new tune up and fuel system components and I have cleaned all the wiring connectors.
