  3. My 260 is manufactured in 12/73. The connector is 6 pin bullet type and ROUND. 4male and 2 female hope this helps thanks guys
  4. Yes I read that thread...thanks I read it again after reading post. It answered alot of questions that probably wouldve ended up being on here and OEM strut insulators are going to be in the works thanks man!. The stages described is great and that lead me to the decision to get the T3 parts after the issue i have is resolved because I want more control over my suspension and drivability so from what Jon listed in his post Im aiming in between stage 3 and 5. My z isnt a race only car but a couple track days with the guys into Alfa Romeos. But as far as handling and the powertrain and living in the texas hill country IMO its a good goal to go for.
  5. Hello all from ATX. I recently installed the eibach lowering springs and tokicko shocks on my 260z that i got from MSA and at the same time i renewed the pivot pins(which was quite the experience), stub axle bearings and seals, lower control arm bushings front and rear, sway bar bushings and hrdwre, rear trans seal, braided brake lines, and the camber kit from MSA which replace the OEM strut mount insulators. All was well and good, However, as days went past I noticed that the nose was higher than normal and the rear end looked as if itd be dragging down the road. So I muffed up by putting the front springs in the rear and the rear springs in the front. I also noticed that the aftermarket strut insulators are split at the rear and i can only imagine the front is soon to follow. So in conclusion, Egg on face, Foot in Mouth and feeling incredibly ignorant but being 22 yrs old its to be expected. So i know ive messed up but now ive got a goal set to remedy this issue as well as collect some more parts to ensure that my suspension is how it needs to be. SAFE COMFORTABLE AND RELIABLE The list of the Goals i want to achieve are listed 1 renew strut mount insulators with OEM 2 swap springs frnt to back and vice versa and now the additional goals 3 T3 lower control arms front and rear 4 T3 tension rods Here is the link from MSA http://www.thezstore.../PSDC15/23-4189 So I ask all of yall here at hybridz if i should proceed with this plan? Should I buy the OEM insulators or the MSA camber kit insulators? Thanks to all of you for providing the priceless information concerning these cars...it sure means alot!
  6. Hey yall im looking for a wiper motor only the rest of the assembly is good. The motor slowly went on its way to not being able to work. Ive got a while since it quit working in february right after i got my inspection. ship to 78669 thanks HybridZ!
  7. Ive been running an interstate MT-34 CCA 700 in my 260z. The only issue i had with it was that it sits lower (about 2 inches) than the mounting bolt and bracket which is the MSA battery hold down kit. quick fix consisted of a 2x4 wood block made to measure and placed underneath the battery its never let me down. Its been in my car for 2 years and bought new its about $75-$80 and since mine was used, got from an alfa romeo GTV6 that has been retired, I got for 20 bucks and to me thats one hell of a deal
  8. Not sure where the white plug goes, it comes off the body harness, same with the other. That white plug with the funny shape is supposed to go to the alternator, that little female bullet held under your thumb goes to the oil pressure sender unit, as far as that black one goes im at a loss my 2cents
  9. You know you drive a datsun when you stop at a light...engine purring at idle....and folks around you say "I really like your style". you know you drive a datsun when you intimidate corvettes. You know you drive a datsun when you call the fuel gauge a liar You know you drive a datsun when you explain to a sheriff the tail light issue is an electrical infirmity. You know you drive a datsun when you drive without lights under a moon-lit sky You know you drive a datsun when something fails and you know exactly what it is. You know you drive a datsun when you go for an early morning drive....without a prior destination You know you drive a datsun when you drive through backcountry roads instead of main roads. You know you drive a datsun when you know exactly what you want to drive and how you want to drive You know you drive a datsun when you share campfire stories w/ older folks talking about their days of glory You know you drive a datsun when your rear tires have exceptionally more wear than the front You know you drive a datsun when you have to continuously repeat the cars year make and model...
  10. Hey bud I had a similar problem with my 260z. When I first got my Z the headlights worked...drivers was real dim. The light was perfectly fine but i discovered that the wire harness (3 british type bullet connectors, 2 w/ triple in/outputs and 1 w/ dual in/output) connectors were covered with grit, road grime, and all sorts of other detritus. These cars are....classic....and classics have needs. Basically what i did was clean all the connectors, renewed the damage as necessary and then moved on towards the fuse panel removing it from the chassis inspecting the backside (discovered a spider web) removed and mapped the fuses then cleaned all the terminals. Later tested and renewed fuses as necessary re-installed the fuse panel applying protective wax on the fuses and terminal contacts....and VIOLA. Oh also theres one main chassis ground thats hidden (atleast it was on my car)....yes only one, why? Im not sure but there ya go.....be sure to clean that ground compulsively. I found mine hidden behind the main electrical harness with rust on the hold down screw. Sorry for the story but basically {chassis electrical service} does a world of good
