  1. Love seeing the progress pictures as it gives me motivation for my intended (yz) rear quarters swap from the current (subtle z) on it now. I had a little bit of work in the driver's side front fender, but nothing as in depth as you have had to deal with. Keep up the progress..
  2. Big congrats on the completion to driving state. I can only dream of what that great feeling must be like.
  3. This video really conveys the speed that is happening well. I love the fact that you get to see the peripheral vision from that camera angle and it really shows the speed off well.
  4. Holy Crap! that is good news as I acquired a long nose R200 and recently bought the AZC "track pac" to go with it. I am only planning on high 500 to low 600hp from a 2jz with high boost on E85 and most likely running at a lower boost more often. I was skeptical of this route, but wanted to eliminate the stub axles and get at the time available parts so I can resume the body work and wheel spacing. Your car is a Beast!!!
  5. I enjoy watching all the videos I can as it gives me enjoyment and motivation to keep on with my never ending project. Keep the videos coming....
  6. Looking forward to seeing the progress and more videos.
  7. That's great to see the old R200 holding up to those figures. Out of curiosity, what are your power/torque figures on your car?
  8. I saw that car there and was wondering if it was yours. It looked so good in the sun.
  9. I hear you on the wider needs for the rears. I think I am going the SSR Professor SP1R's route in 11.5 or 12"... Looking forward to seeing new progress with your car..
  10. DcrDavid, Incredible build you have there, very impressive! I am reluctantly coming to terms with having to sell my brand new 5 lug, 17" Volk TE37V wheels with brand new BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2's (245' F, 275' R) or New Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (265' R). I am planning on running a new wider flare and 315's which would force the sale of these beloved wheels. Perhaps something you may be interested in..
  11. Would you guys mind adding those weight figures to this thread. I will add some weights of other parts as well this weekend.
  12. Welcome aboard and that is an interesting concept you are considering. I wonder if the smaller and lighter Toyota 86 or older Scion frs/ Subaru brz would be a better candidate. Older models are relatively inexpensive.
  13. Looking forward to seeing this build progress. I know how much of a stickler for detail you are and can very much relate. I had my finned diff cover "Vapor Blasted" and it came out looking almost as fresh as new as opposed to traditional media blasting that would leave a more dulled finish. Before and after pics for a visual.
  14. Looking forward to seeing progress on this.....
  15. I had my body paint guy torch it out if I'm not mistaken. Obviously personal protection equipment namely appropriate respirator for safety sake when messing with lead.
  16. I would also add the importance of removing the lead filler in the C pillar to roof seam and seam welding it for more strength. I have witnessed a friends 250ish hp L28et crack right through new paint in that area. I made a mental note and addressed it on my build.
  17. This is good news to hear as I have the same at up, but won't be able to install for awhile.
  18. I know that a certain someone (name not mentioned) who was involved with another fiberglass and carbon fiber operation prior to this company, used to build the parts in Ensenada, Baja California and communication was spotty at best. I do know from first hand experience that when I go down to my camper an hour or so south of Ensenada to camp and surf, the internet service is very fickle and many times running on 3G when you get it. I am not saying for certain this is the complete problem as it takes motivation as well to stay in touch. Again, just throwing out the situation from what I remember many years ago and the parts may very well not be made in Mexico now under this new company.
  19. The Driveshaft Shop cv axle half shafts have been sold, mods please close.
