  1. Here's a link to a public Imageshack folder with the mentioned article and a few more. https://imageshack.us/a/rJrz/1
  2. I wouldn't do it, the sudden and dramatic temperature changes may crack something.
  3. I walked into the local speed shop and ordered the pieces to build this a few years ago. Don't remember the specs off hand but it did cost $250ish Canadian dollars. Mikuni Solex carbs. It will nicely match this:
  4. has not set their status

  5. I was looking for a smooth black look, did you notice the drip rails/door handles/cowl vents are all gone also? Bumper mods and widened rear also. Borrowing an idea is the ultimate compliment.....I've done my share.
  6. Here's my Z, powdercoated the trim. There's a few more pics in my album
  7. My car is a 1976. I modified mine by moving the mounts back (slotted the holes) and cutting out the inner structure on the bumper and rebuilding a recessed mount. Welded some new ends on and smoothed out any mounts/bolt holes. It's painted black in the last pic, I'll eventually get them powder coated. Here's what I ended up with....
  8. Very nice! thanks for taking the time to share your build / eye candy with us.
  9. My Z will be a weekend driver only and I like the smooth look, I shaved mine. Don't have it on the road yet so can't comment on functionality. Here's a pic. If it's your car, do what you want with it, just educate your self first.....good thread.
  10. I've changed the 4 springs on my 76 doing what you want to do. Pry down the lower control arms and you should be able to get it out from under the fender....to bad I didn't take a pic.
