  1. How do I fix my bumper?

Hey guys, I have my 240z stripped all the way down and working on fixing some body issues before rebuild. I have replaced the roof skin as I had an aftermarket sunroof and wanted a slicktop. I'm wondering if I need to replace the entire section of the rear bumper/valance that goes all the way up to the hatch or just cut and patch the damaged portion. I don't have any experience with body work so not sure what the best approach would be. There is a very small ripple in the floor of the hatch and the very end of the frame rail has a little wow in it. Also looks like the right taillight frame is slightly bent. See pics. Thanks in advance! Cheers!
  2. Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm still needing to patch my roof and I think you have all provided a wealth of information. Cheers,
  3. Thanks nix for the reply. Cool build - kind of like a look into the future since our cars are the same color, haha. I think I need to start looking for a straight donor. Cheers
  4. Hey Guys, I'm getting ready to start working on my '73 240z. It has been sitting in my garage as a stripped shell for a couple of years. I am going to start on the body work first and would like some advice on what to do with the roof. It had an aftermarket sunroof and I would like to get back to the slick top but there is obviously a Very Big Hole! I do not have any experience welding sheet metal but I have heard that it can warp if you're not tactful. Should I patch the hole or get a donor roof chopped off of some other 240z? Thanks, ccwade81
  5. I have my 1973 down to the shell and would like to know where I should take it to get it blasted. I'm wanting to get the doors, hood, hatch, front quaters all done as well. Would you guys recommend just getting it blasted then spraying it with something rust prohibitive at home or should the blaster do that as well? Let me know what your experiences have been. Thanks!
