  1. There shouldnt be a problem running a coupler to the throttle body.. i did my vmount before alex!! he improved upon my design alittle bit but mine still works great. heres a link to the pics http://www.vildinimotorsport.com/gallery/gavin.html
  2. Hey everyone check this out...sure looks like it could help aerodynamics??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-260Z-280Z-Engine-Belly-Splash-Undertray-NR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34201QQitemZ4621517438QQrdZ1
  3. Alright ITS FIXED!!!!!! haha... It wasnt electrical shorting, it wasnt fuel starvation it was a simple broken plug on the maf sensor... One side of the clip is broken so it kept loosening. Thanks for all the help guys!!! =) gavin
  4. Thanks L, the intercooler and radiator create a large v duct and the sides are closed off. It works quite well and it keeps water temps down. No, i havent had a chance to call him yet i was hoping he would see this post... im gonna call him right now and see what he says. gavin
  5. Ok. I replaced the battery terminal that was loose and that didnt help any. Yes, the down time does vary according to the length and sharpness of the turn. If its a long tight sweeper, i can step on the pedal as hard and as many times as i want and not a sound will come from the engine, almost as if the throttle cable wasnt connected. Then again, if its a light right turn or a slow speed tight right turn then it sputters and sounds like its hitting a rev limiter at whatever rpm im at... Im gonna try savages idea... hopefully thats the problem...thanks for all the help guys!! i appreciate it! gavin
  6. Yeah the car is a stick. I think it is a short somewhere because i had alex install a surge tank when they put the motor in, so i dont think its fuel starvation.
  7. Ok, I have an sr20 swap done by Vildini. My problem is, whenever i make a right turn, whether barely turning or making a tight turn, the car loses power completely, and starts sputtering and backfiring if i stay on the gas. Weird thing is, it doesnt die or seem like its an electrical problem, because my voltmeter doesnt fluctuate. The boost doesnt spike, oil pressure is fine. I dont know what could possibly be wrong. I went around a long sweeping offramp the other night and i lost power completely, when i stepped on the gas, nothing happend at all, but the car was still running. Im gonna look around a bit more for any shorts in the electical system but im running out of ideas. Anyone have any suggestions? Im tired of having to make right hand corners without power! Thanks For any suggestions in advance! Gavin
  8. im not running a heater or a/c as well...but i live in LA..i dont need either of them very much.
  9. The intercooler has a good 2-3 inch clearance from the hood soo i dont think its restricting it that much because the air just dissapates into the engine bay just like a front mount. even more if i drive it with the hood popped...haha.....as soon as i get money to vent the hood ill be able to take full advantage of the v mount though. Thanks Alex! lol i love the way my car sounds...its beastly
  10. Im running a Blitz NUR spec and it sounds AWESOME...its really loud but it has a nice deep throaty tone...kinda expensive though...it sounds pretty close to alex's car
  11. i think alex's (sr240z) car should have made the list... ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!
  12. hey alex! what did your car end up dynoing at? im interested to see what your putting down...haha
  13. heres a photo of the beast! haha
  14. i saw it! it was a really cool program... too bad there wasnt anything on the z though
