got the l26 out of the 260z. The 1jz is coming out of the Supra on Sunday. Going to paint the engine bay before it goes in. Here are a couple of pics of some goodies. I'll post some more this weekend. I am going to do a detailed writeup.

I pulled this motor out of my supra, because I hated the way it handled and it was a heavy boat. One of my buddies offered me good money for the rolling chasis.

Here are some pics of the snail for the 1jz
Full t4 60-1 fully custom with ceramic coated exhaust housing, billet backing plate, and polished compressor housing. This will replace my t3/t4 60-1 that I was running previous. the boost will come on a lot smoother with this turbo.

Here are some pics of the intercooler....

Dude that is slick!

That engine looks HUGE in that photo. How much stuff is going to be removed? Power steering, A/C?

Can't wait to see more pics of the car.

Just my thought but...
I think you should leave the body as-is just for a while at least.

I also believe that the BEST hybrid Z's are built from 260Z's... not that I'm partial or anything.

this car will have no AC or power steering, and I am replacing my hydrofan setup with an mk4 waterpump with electric fans. Actually the motor is not as big as it looks

Looks like we're both going at this project the same exact way!

The only difference is I have no fuel cell, I'm using EZ Wiring instead of Painless ($180 cheaper than Painless), and I'm fabricating my own crossmember.

Great build. What are your plans with the car? Road racing, drag, etc.?
