  1. Just got myself a 280z after a year of searching. There are a couple things that it needs, one of which is wheels and tires. The car is stock as far as I know and can tell. I would like to have it as a daily driver not really going to be tracking or racing it. What is the best tire size I can fit onto the car without needing to make any modifications?
  2. Wheels + Tires (Bay Area)

Thinking of getting 14-16 inch wheels + decent tires for my 280zx. Must be local (Bay Area, California) and willing to drive to you. Please post pics and your price. Thank you
  3. Wheel Fitment

Do you guys think I could fit 15x8.25 +20 front and back on my 1978 Datsun 280z 2+2? They're 8.25 but I'm going to need 1" adapters so I don't think they're going to fit
  4. AS the title states… I'm trying to figure out what size wheel and tire I can fit on my 1974 260z with STOCK suspension. Before I posted this I searched thread after thread and have only been able to find fitment clearances post suspension upgrades whether it be coil overs or different springs. I have quite a bit of work to do on my Z, however I feel like it deserves a little something something for now so I was looking at purchasing some 16x8 XXR 531 wheels(zero offset). I know they're not the best quality but I can't stand the Iron Cross wheels that my car is sitting on. So I was wondering 1.) Is it possible to run 16x8s on all 4 corners without issues? I've heard mixed answers both yes and no 2.) How wide of a tire would I be able to fit in the rear and front without any issue? 3.) Could I fit 245 or larger in the rear? Seriously thank you guys for any help As to why I chose the 531s….. I really like the look of CCW classics….CCW Classics are super expensive…..XXRs are incredibly cheap as we speak these ones are on sale. I could pick up the entire set for $460 shipped $380 if I liked gold lol. Plus I'll have a little more clearance for bigger brakes and such plus it will at least make it look a bit better. I'm planning some mild power figures but not for quite a while so once I go bigger I'll get higher quality wheels
  5. Hey guys I'm fairly new to the Datsun society and I'm curious on what wheels would look good on a 1982 Datsun 280zx? By what would look good, I mean how wide can I go? Or can someone give me a specific rim size? I was told a 15x10.5 would look good but I'm still not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Rim offset , Please help

I need 7.5 inches in the back and 6.5 inches in the front for my new rims to be flush from the hub. A few website searches have lead me to believe I need a -51 in the front (3.5 backspacing) and -64 in the rear (2.5 inches back spacing) I have ZG wide body flares and i measured from the hubs. Ive seen the -25 and -38 steelies people run on their z's and I dont like the look they are not nearly as flush. HOWEVER alot of people tell me that -64 will stick hella past the flare. EVEN with the lip added on i still think its 8 inches to the lip flush with the flare. So I would only over shoot by maybe 1/2 inch. which is okay with me. Can anyone who is pretty good with rims and offset and Zs help me out. Btw they are 10 inch wide rims all around.
  7. Hey guys, I'm trying to decide on wheels (hardest decision of my life!) and have scoured the wheels pics thread and found some good ideas there. One rim that I think I like is the Konig Five Star in a 16x7 but I can't find any pics of this on a Z. It's one of the MSA offerings, so I'm sure someone here has bought them. Could someone share some pics of the Five Stars on their car please? Here's a link to what I'm talking about: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic01a/25-1130 Thanks, Will
  8. wheel fitment

I looking to buy a set of wheels for my 1980 2x2 280zx and I was wondering how high of an off set can I go with and how wide can I go? I wanted to do something 15x8 size all around with a nice lip
  9. hey every one, I've been looking everywhere for someone running some 15x8 wheels with some 255 or 275/60r15 tires for the rear and 235/60r15 on the front, you know the muscle car look. i think this would look bad ass if this wheel/tire combo fits. if you have seen this on a zx or have done it before PLEASE upload the pics!! i guess i wouldn't mind trimming the fenders if i have to. i'm about to finish my ls v8 swap, i just need headers:) so i think im gonna need the extra meat on the rear. i have the tokico kit with poly bushings. These are the wheels im looking at getting for those bf goodrich tires. thanks for any input!
  10. Hello HybridZ! I’m blowing my tax return on some 3 piece custom rims for my 240z project and thought I would see if others were interested in participating in a group buy to help with the price. They are similar to the DPE Aristo RFK but half the price. This is a long shot because it is a pretty high price but thought I’d try. - The 3 piece rims are made with 6061 billet aluminum. - Any size from 15†to 19.†- Any width with lips as big as 6.†- Regular or step lip. - The offset of your desire. - The bolt pattern of your desire. Like I said, these are custom so anything can be done. The groupbuy price range: 5+ buyers - $3,000 10+ buyers - $2,900 15+ buyers - $2,800 If we do not get at least 5 the price will be $3,200. Group buy ends at the end of March but he will still be able to make more at $3,200. Build time from the time the funds are received is 3 weeks. PM or Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.
  11. So, I'm looking to throw these rims on my Z, but in a different color (probably FLAT black instead of gloss black. I found a place that KINDA looks like these, and they'll do them in any offset I need . . MR Wheels They are a little heavy, but they are pretty darn CHEAP for custom offset. I think the rims below are the same ones that I have linked above . . . I'm also wondering about these rims . . . they have 9 spokes which aren't the same as the one I linked to from MRW . . The reason I am looking into these is my car has a very unique rear end. I have fabbed in a 240sx (S13) rear subframe, and this pushes the track out about an inch or so on both sides. I have a set of Extra wide ZG flares, but when mounted the tires are literally already about 3mm from the fender. So, I'm trying to fit in some bigger rears (around 235 - 255) and a little wider fronts (205-215). The front is stock so I'll need to get a prett NEG offset to push them out . . . BUT i don't want it to look weird with the front having more lip then the rear... So I'll probably have to go with something like +14 and then a 10 or 15 mm spacer. If anyone has any ideas, I'm open for options. I was actually looking into a few different options, one being the WORK CR01's, in a A disk and O disk patter for the front and rear respectively. But, this would be in 15, and with 15's I'm limited to 225 MAX width for tires (at least, all the 235 or 255 that I found looked to be like 50 or 60 Height and weren't even performance tires, but more for jeeps or suvs) Your help here would be greatly appreciated. FYI . . Work config . . Front : 15x7.5 +16 with 15mm spacer Rear : 15x9 +45 with 4 - 5 mm spacer
