  1. This is a rerelease of RTz's coil bracket under his permission. Since he is not producing them anymore and zccjdm is gone I would like to bring these back to the community. Please read this post in its entirety before ordering. If there is anything unclear, please ask. . . . . . . . . . . Block mounting points... Made from 3/16" 6061 Aluminum. Mount Price: $99 shipped anywhere in the US. If outside the US, PM for pricing. 1. Price does not include coils. 2. Mount will require rerouting heater hose. 3. The mounts come with a light DA sanded finish as shown in photo 2. They are ready for paint, or polishes with minimal effort. 4. Included hardware... stand-offs and S.S. bolts for mounting to the block. All extra hardware not included. 5. Coil Part Number: 12558693, or 2000 Chev. Suburban 5.3L 6. Connector Part Number: 12582189 (connectors only come in batches of 4, as a sub-harness) 7. Coils known to work with Wolf3D, Haltech, Motec, J&S, and Megasquirt. It's up to you to know if and how they will work with your specific EMS. Coil Schematic... Pin A... can be grounded to the block, but my recommendation is the head. Pin B... needs to be grounded at the same location as the ECU. Pin C... to ignition channel. Pin D... provide a good 12 volt power source (with key 'on'). Begin with 3.5ms dwell. Test and tune for best ignition performance. For ordering send a PM or post here. Thank you everyone.
  2. Inspired by the Head cooling on cylinder #5 thread (http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/59029-head-cooling-on-cylinder-5-solutions/), I decided to make my own diagrams of the cooling system for US Z/ZX L6 engines. I had to exaggerate and diminish a few proportions to maintain decent flow while using a flat layout. These charts are as accurate as far as my knowledge and research have shown so far. I will gladly accept any corrections and update accordingly. The year cutoffs are approximate and do not reflect all of the small month-to-month changes of course. On the ZX diagrams, some cars got the throttle body heaters while others didn't. I left them in both diagrams just to cover all the bases. I did spend a fair bit of time on these, so if they do happen to find their way elsewhere on the web, make sure at the very least to cite where they came from. Red = oil passages Blue = water passages and flow direction Yellow = direction of water flow in flexible hoses 1970-1974 240Z / 260Z 1975-1978 280Z 1979-1980 280ZX 1981-1983 280ZX
  3. Hey guys, I'm going different route about the engine. (RB NEO) It's time for some clean-up 1st is the TRUST/GReddy Single Turbo Manifold (BRAND NEW): SOLD Up for sale is 2x RARE L6 Turbo exhaust manifold for the Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z 280ZX, L series 6 cylinder engine. Should fit on any L-series engine, even the old skyline GC10/GC110/GC210/HR30. This Manifold is made in Stainless Steel and the O.D. piping is 42.7 mm. It has a T4 Turbo Twin Scroll Flange. Very high quality. These are VERY expensive in Japan, over 2K in USD for a brand new one. This is not a cheap copy. It's original form Trust in Japan. I'm look for 1600$. Also they are designed for the RHD car. I can not guarantee the fitting in the LHD cars. You may have to modify the steering column to fit on LHD cars. This is a big manifold and the turbo is getting close to the suspension tower. It all depend on the turbo size you use. I would recommended to modify the steering shaft with a double u-joint extension fixed by 1 or 2 bearing eye bolt. Search here on hybridz for more info about this mod. It's been done to fit some V8 headers. 2nd is one of the rarest parts for the L6. The HKS ITB: SOLD Old school setup from the '80. HKS made it as a swap for the triple carbs (DCOE). Designed to be use with some turbo setup. (much more easy to use turbo on efi than carbs) It could be use as NA setup as well. Fit direct on any L6 airbox or surge tank like any DCOE. I'm look for 1200$ obo. 3rd is a modified SANYO/SK Sport Kit Intake runner: SOLD It can be use in few type of setup. NA / Turbo / Custom plenum box This intake runner has been modified. 8. DOHC L28

I didn't want to detract from Derek's massive thread but I was curious if there was any information around on this video: http://tominis.info/watch/hDCfZUIMom8/dohc-twin-cam-l28-datsun-z-car.html Seems he mated 3 different KA24DE heads to make this happen. Video is marked for 8 years ago, so I'm wondering if the guy was on here before or if anyone knows any other info on this thing. Looks interesting to say the least, but I haven't found anything else on it.

  15. Scoping the interwebs for some information on my new Suzuki F6A Turbo, I ran across a neat replacement distributor which looks head and shoulders above the conventional Mallory Replacement. It's programmable if you want it to be... There's a bunch of YouTube Videos showing it on FairladyZ's and etc... Some nice video showing the old Hitachi Distributor it replaced, and if you understand Japanese, probably some nice technical discussion as well. Sourced from The Netherlands, check it out, jump around the website they have distributors for most anything out there. Flying Magnet by the look of it. If someone NEEDS to keep the vintage distributor look, IMO this is loads better than a Unilite! http://www.123ignition.nl/id/50.html Looks like Paradise Parts is the US Distributor...
