Hopefully someone here knows. I've been looking for a replacement clutch for my 85 Nissan 300zx Z31 NA. I came across this clutch kit below which states it will fit quite a few Nissan cars such as RB30 skylines, FJ20T Silvias (200sx), VL commodores, KA24E Navaras (frontier), etc http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150737253775?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 The above clutch kit is no longer for sale so I had to keep looking. I found another clutch kit shown in the below link which fits the KA24E Navara/Frontier (the above no longer for sale clutch kit said it would fit KA24E as well as many other cars) but the seller is trying to tell me it will not fit my 85 300zx NA and that I should buy the 300zx clutch kit which costs ~$100 extra. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390083964024 Could it be that most of these clutch kits all share the same 240MM clutch, but the thrust bearing/pressure plates are different? Does anyone have any insight? evildky Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 pretty much all nissan/datsun/infiniti's share a center spline for their clutch disks, the diameters are the things that vary, if you cant find one for your n/a why not just get the flywheel and clutch form a turbo? it's a direct bolt in and had added clamping force Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NewZed Posted May 23, 2012 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Browse around the OReilly site using the Compatibility tab when you're looking at a part. It suggests that you might be right.
