AZGhost623 Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 Has anyone bought something like this before? There are a couple "kits" out there with various mandrel pieces. I am wondering if there is enough pieces to go from the header back, or the right bends. Honestly I think a couple straight pieces, and a couple 45 degree bends could do the trick and then just weld it all together. I assume I would also need sleeves for this stuff to go into? Anyone who has gone through this, I would really like to know what pieces you all bought so I can duplicate it and put it in myself. I have the MSA 2.5" header. If there is a better way to do it, Im all ears.I suppose someone will say to take it to a shop, but finding a good shop to do it is the other challenge. Xnke Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 I used 4 feet of straight pipe and two 180* U-bends that had 12" long legs on them. So, 8 feet of straight pipe, plus two complete U-bends did the job in 2.5" with a glasspack in the tunnel and a muffler in the stock location. I don't see spending 100$ on a glasspack, which is easily done with some brands. When I find a perforated tube glasspack in 100% stainless, then I might spend some money to get it in there, but so far I haven't found what I want, and the cheap part shows no signs of stress or degradation yet.
