Pitanious91 Posted November 13, 2013 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Well, In an attempt to speed up the process, I received some help from a work buddy putting on my rear brakes. I started hearing some blacksmithing sounds from the other side of the car and went to check it out. Turns out he wasn't listening when I said he might have to turn the piston back in. When the c clamp wouldn't push in the piston he figured a hammer would. Needless to say, I'll be headed to the UAutoPullit in Alexandria this weekend to look for '79 brake parts...or the parts to swap to '83 or 5 lug '86 z31 rear brakes. I should have a full day to "play" out there so if anyone wants me to grab or locate specific parts I'd be down to help the cause. According to their inventory they have: 1 1976 280z that's been there for 155 days 1 1979 280zx for 93 days 1 1983 280zx for 53 days 1 1986 300zx for 93 days. My plan is to test fit the 83 s130 and 86 z31 parts on the 79 that is sitting out there. I'll bring my camera so I can document the swaps. Just let me know if anyone needs anything.
