I am real tempted on these seats, your comments WELCOME

I have very similar seats from no doubt the same source.

I had to take the cap for the seat reclining mechanism off and put the driver side in the passenger side and vice versa. It almost fits with the stock seat mounts, you have to drill between the two holes in the front mount, the rear will bolt in. At 6'2 you have 2 inches of clearance with your head I believe (using my friend's height).

Yea anything like that is going to fade pretty quick. The cushions aren't on the great side either, the bolster is pretty soft (this is assuming same/similar company).

I was able to see and touch the seats, they look the part but the bolsters are soft and the leather seating area is very thin . So the temptation is over, thanks for the comments . I have a very nice set of Recaro seats on my car but I what to change the look of my cabin  :icon10:

As I have said before, do not cheapen your nice car with Crap.

You have sweet Recaros in real leather. Get them professionally dyed if you want red. Or buy another set of real Recaros or Corbeau's or other Quality seats. Stop with the cheap stuff.

And Motorman Mike, I've already got first dibs.

^^^^ The use of a cheap part is not my motive , I saw these seats on an import car magazine , they look good and the size seem to fit the S30 cabin. Then the idea to ask opinions on this site was a way to get some feedback on these particular seats in red. Hey I have a thing for Silver cars with red seats, yes I can have them dyed but I want either an old style Recaro in red if possible or the style in question . I know that the seats that are in my car are expensive and all that , I want some thing less bulky and 70's in that cabin post-36683-0-94904600-1393426245_thumb.jpg   :icon10:

Are those BMW E21 Recaros? Nice seats for sure, but better suited for an 80s car IMO.

Anyway, if I were replacing the seats in my Z, I'd go with seats from a 944 or 911 (which are heavy, but look the part), or a set of these:

Period correct looks and lightweight. Very expensive though, and they don't recline, if that bothers you.

I picked up the same Racaro seats as Plata.  Wow,  now I'm glad I made the choice seeing them in his car and how well they fit....time to order mounts and sliders!

Just cause Ferrari did it doesn't mean it was the right choice.........

Do what you want.  I had a set of Corbeau seats in my car.  They ended up being too bulky.  I still want a Porsche GT3 style seat in my car but maybe in the next Z I build....

I now have the factory seats done as I want.
