what camshaft is this?

Recommended Posts

The stamp on the back of the camshaft can be hard to see.  Did you wipe the grunge off?  Might take some carb cleaner or solvent to get it clean enough to see.

The numbers you see are cast in to the blank shaft.  Before it's ground.  So they're meaningless.

I got the engine from a junkyard, and swapped it in.

It ran rough so I checked cam timing, and it was fine. I swapped my old stock P90 head on, and it runs perfect.

The head with the assumed aftermarket cam looks to be in great condition.

The fact it has no visible markings like normal stock cams is what has me confused.

I'm going to sell the extra P90 head, but I wanted to be sure I have the right information for the buyer.

Possibly a rebuilt head with an aftermarket cam core...similar, but not the same as a "CWC" core. Does it say E30 JAPAN anywhere on it? If not, then it is not likely a factory cam core, and will not have a cam stamp corrisponding to the factory cam grinds.
