Cedar Rapids, IA

So I'm going to be moving to cedar rapids this summer for a job. First thing that I'm worried about is lack of a tuning shop or parts store that can get stuff for imports, specifically SR20 related stuff (both my s13 and Datsun are/will be SR powered).

Would any locals care to chime in? I figure Iowa city would be a little bit bigger also, so I'm going to look there for some places.

On the way to the Holiday Inn (south side) from the Highway, there is a multiple railroad crossing in a stairstep configuration.

If you get a mid 90's Lumina, and hit the secret speed along with proper throttle application...you can get big air to fly over the hood of a police car sitting at the cross street at the bottom of the tracks.

Do NOT scream insanely about "what idiot designed that crossing without a warning to slow down! etc etc etc." That's been used successfully once to get out of the ticket...I doubt it will work a second time.

Took me a week to get that right....

Randy has it correct. I often said that overseas "what do you care WHERE you are? UPS Delivers EVERYWHERE stateside!"

And it's true today as ever.

Frankly, if it wasn't for DHL and UPS I couldn't get half the stuff I get shipped to the office. Lots from China, Japan, etc... The internet has changed things.

Tony D, I'm not surprised about your shenanigans. I shall look for the RR crossing. I'm curious why you were out there though, I only really remember seeing Rockwell and the Quaker Oats factory.

I'm not really worried about getting parts. It specifically a shop that has experience tuning with dynos and everything. If I can't find anything I'm just gonna be spending a lot of time learning...
