I dont post much, I do mostly reading,and research.

I dont want this to turn into a pissing match,and yes,I do realize the 400 crank would give me more cubes...

This is what im putting together,something different and fun....I hope.

Please discuss the choices ive made,and why they may ,or may not work.

 

Going in a 78 280z, coil over kit with 250/300 springs and koni single adjustable shocks.

Locked r200 rearend(yes ,the halfshafts are still in it,but conversion is on to do list)

Th400 with 5000 stall 8" turbo action converter.

 

400 block,.030 ,o-ringed,half filled, main bearing spacers

327 forged crank,lightend,knife edged. Small rod journal,medium main journal.

Aluminum rods,107 grn. 5.870 long

Forged pistons,flat top 2 reliefs. 1.442 hieght. 500 grn

Aluminum heads (rhs 12060) 64cc,230 intake runner,2.080-1.60 valves,

.041 copper head gaskets

(If I calculated right,pistons should be .088 in the hole with 8.3:1 comp)

 

Cam is howards solid roller...

Duration @50. 247-----279 advertised

585 lift

112 lsa ,small base

Crower solid lifters /w rev kit.

Steel roller rockers /w girdles.

 

Barry grant 750 silver claw,modified for blow through,

On weiand single plane intake.

 

Single tv7512 turbo (1.08 exhaust ar.)with 85 mm

compressor.

1st stage is 30 shot, dry nitrous in compressor housing,to cool charge and aid in spooling.

2nd stage is 2 wet fogger nozzles, in the carb hat ,at 50 hp apeice.

Going to use a nos mini controller to ramp these,just not sure of rpm' s to start and stop...
