Trigger Wheel with AC, for L28ET

Hi, i hope somebody can help me out with my 36-1 trigger wheel.

 

The car is a 280z with 81 turbo L28ET engine with MS2Extra, IGN-6, trigger wheel from DIY and a sensor "PNP" that i brought home from work, im working with Automation (swisslog.com)

 

I have AC and still want to use that, so i timed it up and i set the missing tooth together with the VR_pickup on the TDC mark "0" but that didnt work out to well. 

so i moved the wheel with missing tooth down 7 teeth (anti clockwise) because i tryed to put it up til 12 o,clock aprox and then i had 7 tooth and changed 

the angle to 70 degrees it didnt work either, thats why i tryed to put it the anticlockwise 7 tooth from TDC mark. What should the angle be? 

70 degrees or 290 degrees??  Can i put the missing tooth where ever i want and just count the teeth to TDC?

 

Anyone got any good pics of how to set up the sensor on the alternator side, not AC side, where the missing tooth should be and settings in tunerstudio.

 

At least i got the car started, the timing was off, it doesnt mather if i set 70 degres or 290degrees, it still splutters and backfires.

 but i had no more time at the moment since i had to go to work where i am writing this.

 

I started Trigger/tooth logger but at every time the missing tooth apears it comes with 2-Long spikes, Why???,

it should only be one -1- correct? with 35 small one between. 

 

 

 

I just cant seem to get the car running right

The spark wires connected to the IGN-6 module is A: 1-6 B: 2-5 C: 3-4

 

Im also adding the tune that im using, take a look if you can. 

 

I am SOOOO Close now, but i want to do it correct so i dont blow any headgasket.

From what you've told us, 70 sounds correct for the #1 tooth angle. With a 36-1 wheel you should see 34 short teeth and the 35 tooth will be twice as tall as the rest. If you're seeing multiple long teeth back to back, MS is losing sync. Try adjusting your sensor's air gap. Then try adjusting the trim pots on the board.

 

Your coil order is correct too, how are you firing your coils?

 

You'll have to remember that when doing the mods for spark output that they're not in order: A = R26, B = R29, C = R27.

 

Also you shouldn't attempt to start the car when the timing isn't set. You should unplug the injectors and crank the engine with the timing fixed to 10 degrees. Then adjust your #1 tooth angle until your timing light matches up.

Thanx for the reply "Metro" Im firing the coils with 3 BIP373, And IGN-6 Coilpack from DIY. 

 
The firing order is fine, the unit was ordered (not by me) from DIY, i didnt solder it myself, exept for the third coil "C".
 

Here is the specs:

 

240SX TB

Ign-6 from DIY

36-1 Trigger wheel from DIY

Stock Turbo charger

Denso 460cc from Fiveo

Walbro 255, GSL-392 Not mounted yet.

I Think maybe that the VR sensor is wired backwords, since i get 2. Spikes at the missing tooth, i will try to change that later on today/tomorrow.[/background]
It backfires and another question is where the missing tooth should be, Think of it as a clock, my TDC is at 10 o'clock and my VR sensor is almo at the same position since i dont want to have the VR-sensor on the other side where the AC-pump is. where should the the missing tooth be 3-4-5-6-7 o'clock. i can count the tooth myself up to where the VR is when i get that far. [/]
 

 

Feel free to do any changes in the .msq file,

 

I want to use the MAF Infinity Q45 that i just mounted also, little unsure on how to set this up in a good way since i cant find any values for the MAF.
