Thought I would post because I had some interest from some people asking if I would make these.

These inner rocker panels are replacements for a 240z.  I am unsure about the 260z and 280z whether these would fit them or not. Please chime in if your certain to let others know or buy at your own risk.

The inner rocker panels are constructed from 18g cold rolled sheet (CRS) metal which is just same thickness or a tad thicker than the factory material (at least on my 240z).  I use cold rolled as it is supposed to be a bit stronger than hot rolled and cold rolled has a smoother finish.  These are not an exact match to the factory panels but a very close match. The seat belt mounting plate is made from 1/8" (HRS) with an exact threaded nut fitted for the factory bolts.  Some extra metal will be left on the ends so you can trim it to your liking.

The Tie in plates are constructed from 20g CRS, again about the same thickness as the factory material. Some extra material is left on the bottom to allow for variance in fitment as each installation will differ slightly from another.  More than likely if your rocker panels are rotted with holes in them like the pictures below, these plates will need replacing too.  The plates are what the rockers mainly weld onto.

If your Z suffers from rotted out rusted inner rockers then these panels would be great, save you the hassle of trying to do a questionable patch job with little fabrication skills, these panels make it easy for all levels of experience.

Before installing, please download and read the attached PDF installation guide. I will send this to you as well when your parts are shipped.

Price: (includes shipping anywhere in the USA, out of Country may be subject to higher shipping rates/fees)

$380.00 for a pair of rocker panels

$470.00 for a pair of rocker panels + pair of front end tie in plates + pair of rear end tie in plates

I only make these upon request, do not have any pre-made ready to ship.  Please allow me about a one week time period to make before shipping if your in urgent need.

Reply to the thread or send me a PM with any questions or interest.

I'm definitely interested. You might consider making just the ends, as that where the rot tends to be and shipping would be way cheaper. Either way, I'm in for a set and I'd prefer full length, I don't frequent here much since the attitude shift years back, you can email me at evildky@yahoo.com if you get these made.

Hey Evildky,

Sorry for the late response if your still visiting this thread.

I am currently making a set for someone else. Let me know if you are for sure about buying a set from me in case you do not get my email.

Fellow Z members,

Had promising interest from a well known datsun online store, but seems to fell through, never heard back from them.

So it appears there isnt enough interest in these to make by bulk, just let me know for now on if you want to purchase a set from me and ill just make them for those that ask.

Parts are finally coated with a light layer of Bloxide rust preventative weldable primer to keep from rusting during shipping and before installation.

Thanks guys,

Kevbo82,

I had some time after work to make the tie in plates tonight, refer to my edited main post.  I received the shipping boxes today however I am still waiting on bubble wrap to arrive. Hopefully it can get here either Thursday or Friday so I can get these shipped out to you and the other customer before the week is over.

Will keep you updated.

Awesome, i'm totally just sitting around twiddling my thumbs with nothing else to do on this car waiting for these parts  :lmao:

The more I cut into it the more rust I find, so hopefully your parts will be the start of actually putting pieces back on rather than cutting apart!

A quick post to give some props to Brent

I just received my set of inner rockers yesterday, the whole transaction went super smooth, they were produced and delivered in exactly the time frame he described when I first inquired. The packaging, shipping, communication, and product were all extremely professional and well executed. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Brent again! I'm sure if you're looking at these you know there is no other real source for them, i'm so happy to have a set for my project 240 because I'm not sure what I would do without them! Here's a shot of one test fit on my car.
