Any LSX Swap Kits that Use Rubber Motor Mounts

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I’m looking into an LSX/T56 swap into a 1972 240z.

Since it’s a street car, what I absolutely don’t want is poly engine/trans mounts. I’m not knocking those but having had them on street cars before, I don’t like the NHV (noise, harshness, vibration) and would prefer to use rubber mounts if possible.

Any swap kits out there that use GM OEM rubber mounts (or equivalent)?

Thanks for your help.

That’s great news, thanks for confirming.

Most of these LS swap kits out there for various platforms use poly which I personally would never use again on a street car after my experience with it on my C5 z06.

Poly and solid mounts are what I call "vibration enhancers", which is great when trying to find an annoying buzz or rattle (since it makes them REALLY bad & you can finally get rid of it), but for anything other than a race car, I stick with rubber, as well.
