Guest Anonymous Posted June 6, 2002 Share Posted June 6, 2002 David, sounds exactly like what I'm doin! mines getting all done next week - so there might be some pics for you to see how it turns out - but yeah .. im going same deal on the front of the struts.. considering some subbies around the other side as i'll miss my 15" JBL GT series that's in my old zed.. my old zed has a full parcel shelf built across the struts thats a self contained box, inside of that is 3 amps, crossover, capacitators, fuses and on the top of it is 2 x 300w four ways, two drivers and in the back is the JBL.. plus two 150w tweaters in the front sounds great in the zed.. but all the sound deadening stuff weighs it down.. new zed wont have any of that.. just an amp, two 300w four ways and a damn sexy headunit! ..and maybe a couple subs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
David K Posted June 7, 2002 Share Posted June 7, 2002 i agree. i am making blueprints right now for some speaker mounts that will be flush with the strut towers in the rear. they will look like the car came with them. im doing them for 280zx's but i can take a few days and go out to the girls car and make some for earlier z's. i like the idea of an interior forum because i have lots of ideas to share and i am gonna modify my interior extremly.
