MUSTANG 5.0GT 85-91 15 X 7 4X108 1/2-RH M = Medium Offset - RWD ( Rear Wheel Drive) Typically +20 offset

MUSTANG 5.0GT 91-93 16 X 7 4X108 1/2-RH M = Medium Offset - RWD ( Rear Wheel Drive) Typically +20 offset

Has anyone used either of these sets of wheels on their s30 with the 4 piston calipers without any spacers or rubbing?

I got this list from someone else. I added a few oddballs I found, and cleaned up the layout and format a bit. Let me know if you see any errors.

Despite all the info here telling you how to match sizes or whatever. How come there is no direct link to sites that sell rims for the Z cars? Perhaps its all going over my head but I cant figure out what I need to know to buy rims for a 82 280ZX.

For the people with deeper pockets who want something truly specific, this company makes custom wheels to your specifications. A tad pricey, but worth it for hard to find sizes.

Please feel free to add other similar places to the list!

1972 240z, Sportmax 16x8 0 offset wheels, 225/50-16 tires. Car lowered slightly.

Rear tire sidewalls rub on uneven terrain and during bumpy corners.

Will adjust ride height up and add rear sway bar to stiffen. If that doesn't do it, will move rear springs to front and use stiffer in rear.

UPDATE 051107
Ride height adjusted up .6". New trim height is 26.1" measured from ground to fender lip at wheel centerline. Added Suspension Techniques rear sway bar (nicely engineered btw)
Rear springs are 170 lb/in
Verdict - Still rubs on extreme bumps. Will move rear springs to front and use 200 lb/in in back.

Notes:
*Taiwan origin, but what isn't these days....
*Finish is not great, but acceptable for the price
*Wheel caps don't fit 240Z dust covers (do they make extended caps?)
*Lightweight wheel and tire only 44 lbs (wheel is 16 lbs) - my old nissan 14x5.5 with 195/70-14 is 43 lbs
*Rear fender interference may not be an issue on stock height Z, but likely on lowered cars
*Rolling rear fender lip will not eliminate tire contact, but will minimize tire gouging
*Braking pressure increased, although wheel and tire lightweight, mass concentrated farther out on diameter

Posted Image
nice aggressive stance, totally changes the look of the car

Posted Image
the wheels and tires are nearly flush with outer edge of fenders

Posted Image
this is the problem area...

Posted Image
clearance on rear coilover is 3/4", +12 offset would be ideal....

Posted Image
no spoiler interference

Posted Image
no interference between front tire and fender lip
Posted Image
clearance on front coilover is more than 3/4"
i get enuff exercise just pushin' my luck....

I am putting the entire YZ kit on but will be using it strickly as a daily driver. Without modifying the suspension just yet, other than 5 lug hubs, what backspacing, size, and offset should I be looking at?
