(CID*RPM /3456) * VE = CFM and predicting when to open secondaries

Using the ever so familiar equation...

(CID*RPM /3456) * VE = CFM

I took my 600cfm carb and calculated what RPM limit to expect if running off of just the primaries. 600 /2 = 300cfm. At 84% VE (shooting high) and a 305ci motor, I came up with 4046 RPM. (At 80% VE it is closer to 4250 RPM) That kind of shocked me in that I'm only expecting to run 6000 RPM. So it is obvious I'll never need the secondaries to open more than a third the way.

With this knowledge, is there any way to estimate at what RPM I should expect my secondaries to start to open?
