pictures of my newly painted 280z

I know you guys probably don't know who I am since I haven't posted much on here, but I've never given the chance to show my car here. I just got her back from the paint shop last weekend. It's painted with a Nissan color "silver metallic" used with ppg paint. Came out beautiful!

I, too, have the same wheels on MY car.. and I hate em. Well, hate is a strong word, but my honest opinion is that they are one of the least attractive looking sets of wheels I have ever seen on a Z.

They just seem to say "American Car" to me for some reason. I prefer the standard five slot mag.. which I know, makes no rational sense.. Slot mag, my favorite, A/R "spoke" mag, my least... whatever. No excuses given, I just don't like my wheels. :rolleyesg

Wow, it's like I am looking at photos of my own Z from 1995. I had the same wheels, the same color, the same bumpers, the same antenna, the same spoiler....it's an IDENTICAL twin. Do your center caps tick after you brake? Mine always made a ticking sound from expansion contraction on those wheels.

Very nice paint by the way.

Hey there,

I haven't noticed a ticking sound from the center caps when I brake, must be a different style. If you wouldn't mind posting a picture of your identical twin, I'd more than love to see it! My next big plans for it is to lower it about an inch with some Eibach's to give it that stance that I'm looking for.

Thanks again.

looks to be taken on film if i'm not mistaken.

i like that look, suits the z and makes it look even better than it already does!

I see what you mean, and am now intrigued much more by these photographs.. any chance of a link to where we could get higher resolution versions? it IS a very nice little spread.

Thanks again guys!

Any other plans for her?

There's always small misolanius things that need to be done such as new seat covers, but I'm thinking about putting an Eibach lowering kit on her (1 1/2) to improve the stance and the handling of the car which I think would be a pretty cool.
