Wigenout-S30's Z

My first was a 82ZX non turbo, That started me down this Datsun Path....

I Put a lot of time and work getting that ZX to what you see there but just was not happy with the simi trailing arm in the ZX and wanted something different. I found a 77 280Z that a local guy had. He was the second owner and was friends with the original owner. The 77 had around 300,000 miles on the body but it had a 3.0 ltr stroker with lower compression he was going to turbo. He lost interest in it and I found my new Z! Here is a pic of it right after I bought it.

Here is what the engine bay looked like when I first bought it.

Well After running my best of 15.7 in the 1/4 I just wanted it to be faster! So I turbocharged the 3.0 ltr..... I used the 280ZX turbo ECU and wireing harness. That lasted about a week. Something failed in the 3.0ltr and I was down. I bought a junkyard motor for 250.00 and it had around 180K miles on it. Threw it in in a weekend and I was running!!

That was great and I love boost. I then upgraded to a front mount Intercooler. This is the first one I had it was NPR unit. I had the inlet and outlet modified so it would fit easier.

I bought Austin Hokes L28ET motor. JE forged pistons, ARP rod bolts ARP head studs, Nismo metal head gasket. I installed the powerforce dampner. She is going back togeather with MS&S V3 440CC injectors and a stock T3 turbo for now.

I had the NISSAN valve cover painted the same color as my wheels.

Well, I got a turbo from a awesome member here. It is a T3/T4 but all wrapped up in stock nissan clothing. I will prolly get a larger to4B compressor housing so it will flow alittle more air. She is now cranked and running , just have to tune her.

The compressor wheel is a T4, I think 50 or 54 trim.

Here are pics of my new current setup. I sold my 60 trim turbo as It was kinda laggy and we will just say precision and I do NOT see eye to eye as far as customer service is concerned. On to my new turbo. Full Garrett T3/T4 turbo. Compressor housing is a T04E, exhaust housing is a .63 AR. Compressor wheel is a .50 trim and exhaust wheel is a stage 3. I ported the exhaust housing to match the gasket and ceramic coated the exhaust housing and center section with Tech line. You will see a GT42R in the background as well. I coated my buddies exhaust housing, center section and Tial 44mm Gates.

It has been quite some time since I updated my build thread.

Here is the hood I will be going with. I got it from a great friend Ivan. I have only seen this scoop 2 times.. once on Ivans car and once on quicker 240Z's car. The bondo was cracked in a couple of places so I am currently going to sand it down, rebondo it and repaint it.
