Hi

I started making a roof skin since my roof had so many dents in it. I used fiber glass and carbon fiber. Would anyone be interested in this part?

I'm interested in seeing some pics of the mold and process.

Eye candy is what will get peoples attention.

Also. How many layers of fabric, and what type of weave? Are you using polyester ,or epoxy?

Is there a clear gel coat to give it some UV protection since it's on the top of the car?

Also, there are some other members here that have done that, which turned out pretty neat.

I'd definitely be interested depending on price and quality. I'm looking for an alternative to welding in a new roof to get rid of my sunroof.

Hi

here are some answers

layers of fabric, and what type of weave? fiberglass with gelcoat. carbon weave will be the 3k stuff. looks like all other types of CF

5 layers of FG and 1 layer of CF to keep the cost down. I anyone is intersted in full CF let me know.

Are you using polyester ,or epoxy? Epoxy resign with UV coating.

Is there a clear gel coat to give it some UV protection since it's on the top of the car? UV clear coat.

also this will be a cover or replacement roof. I think is will fab up some kind of addtional bracing since the top will be cut out.

thanks for the response. I will make a mold of it after I finish.

I should have some pictures up this week.

I might take one of these depending on price/quality.
I just did a sunroof patch, but I'm not completely happy with the finished product.

edit: thought I might mention that the CF wouldn't mean much to me at all, so a straight FG one to keep costs down would be appealing if it is significantly cheaper.

I'm assuming that this is again for the S30 crowd, when is anyone ever gonna show some love to the S130's? It turns out that marble sized hail is not friendly to the top of my Z.

DO NOT BUY FROM JUSTIN HODGES (z force productions). Do you like s****y parts? Do you like paying too much? Do you like the chance you may not get your part? Do you like dealing with scum who will take your money and ignore you? if so, z force productions is for you. http://forums.hybrid...showtopic=78635
