So I asked him if I gave him $500 for it and sold it on Ebay if I could keep the difference. He said sure. This thing is pretty rough, but looks complete. However, today's lesson was get everything in writing if you try and broker a vehicle. 50% of something is better then 100% of nothing. He originally told me he wanted $350 for the car. I asked him if I could sell it for him and give him $500 and I keep the difference which he agreed upon. Somehow, today, he decided that the deal was now he wanted $500 for the car and 50% of the profits over $500. The reality of this was his wife never seen until today. Little bit of an influence. The entire deal almost went south and there was no point in arguing even though all of my negotiations was with him. So I only made $500.00. I'll take it!
