I just read that I can/should replace the rear main while doing the clutch!

I never have. They are not very prone to leaking on the L.

BUT, you should because they are like $10 and easy once the tranny is out. If it starts leaking in 5k miles you will be kicking yourself.

It is behind the flywheel. Little ruber looking thing that goes around the crank.

For a rather inexpensive seal, and 95% of the work already done to replace it I would just do it. If you dont and your luck is anything like mine it will leak and possibly cause the new clutch to slip. Also the age of the seal can cause it to leak (dry rot). You will sleep good if you replace it. Make sure it is seated evenly and not to far in on one side and sticking out on the other.:icon6:
