What thickness of Lexan?

Recommended Posts

I have a line on a couple of .25" 4x8 sheets of Lexan .....cheap! Is this thickness sufficient for windshield and hatch glass for a track car??

Thanx!!

1/4" is fine for a windshield but you must also run clips (6 recommended) that are aluminum and at least 3/4" wide and 1/8" thick.

Be aware. There are different types of material pertaining to it's hardness and it's ability to withstand scratches and abuse from road debris, stone chips etc.
