  1. Thought i would update this. I got it running this week and tonight I will try to tune it a little. I still need to put in my 370cc injectors but I thought i would play around with the SAFC. I will try to get some video soon.
  2. Thats a sweet 210 you have there. I've got a 79 hb that i've been driving while im working on the 280. Gona throw an l20b in there someday. Been thinking about throwing those 1G seats in the 280, love the way thay feel when sitting in them.
  3. I did think about making new manifolds, but I didn't want to spend the extra time and money on it. I'm only looking to make 300-350 hp so I think the stock manifolds will do fine for my power goals. I got some time to work on the down pipe this week. Slowly getting there.
  4. Now that the ice age is over I've started working on this again. Almost done with the manifold/relocation pipe. After this ill start working on the down pipe. Still need to buy an intercooler.
  5. No particular reason to mount it up front, just wanted it to be different. I had planed to mount it on the side and run a v mount intercooler setup at one point. The engine mounts are the original l28 mounts. I just made some new mount brackets out of 1/4 steel.
  6. Very slow progress. Cut all the pieces for the drivers side. Time to start welding.
  7. I think its called the power transistor. Maximas had them mounted in that location.
  8. little update here, finally got to work on turbocharging. Hacked off the exhaust. I am going to use 1.75 stainless pipe for the turbo manifold. I need to get some welding supplies Monday. This is where the turbo will be located. The radiator will be angled so that the intercooler pipes will go over the top of it.
  9. I have been working on this project for 5 years now. The engine is a vg33 from a 2000 xterra and it has a 5 speed transmission from a 85 300zx The engine is controlled by the 93 maxima ecu and electronics, including the upper and lower intake. Runs really good right now but it really needs some boost. This is what the car looks like now.
  10. I Have the vg33e in my 280zx. Now the front end is about 3" higher off the ground than the rear. I hope it will even out when I add the turbo and stuff.

    Won't Start

    So you put vg33 heads on a vg30. I though that was not posable.
  12. Sounds like you need to re-circulate the BOV. Try removing the vacuum sorce from the BOV. If that solves the problem then you need to re-circulate.
  13. You will want to have the manifold resurfaced also. Its probably warped.
