  1. My car weight went up by 50 lbs. But at the same time I replaced the old r180 with r200 from s14. The actual air struts are a lot lighter than original struts.
  2. Sorry, I guess I was too busy building I didn't take much pictures. I have some here: http://csa-7.blogspot.com . I've had a few different setups for air springs but the current ones are just great and if you wish I can try and take more pictures of the finished setup. I used to have the typical sectioned struts with Tokico Illuminas so I can only compare with those. To be honest, on open roads there's not much difference. Air struts have more adjustability on dampening and I feel they can be adjusted to all situations. I haven't tracked much yet but will definitely do as I now have fixed most of the little things. The greatest thing with these struts is that the spring rate can be adjusted to any given ride height due to threaded struts. So I can ride quite low and have it soft for city traffic and longer journeys and then at the same ride height make it harder for track.
  3. I'd say that air suspension, when set up well, does not make the ride any worse than with coilovers, but that's another topic. I would buy a bolt on kit if I didn't already have bags on my car. It took me many months and a lot wasted parts/purchases to come up with a decent set. I used Airlift Performance struts for Subaru WRX at rear and Airrex struts for BMW e60 at front. Installing them was a lot like installing BC racing coilovers, so it required welding on threaded collars. Except at rear I needed to remove the old strut tube and make the hole bigger so I could insert the new tube to the upright. The idea was to get the car high enough to even get out from my garage, which was pain with static height. I think my car looks stupid when all down but I just love the way it rides at ride height. It's stiff, but more progressive than with coilovers. I used to have 250/255 lbs springs and it feels that with bags it grips better on acceleration. I'm running 540 whp, and no issues on street or track.
  4. I'm looking for one Tokico BZ3015 insert. New or used as long as it's in good condition. Thanks!
  5. Anything goes really as long as they are adjustable for camber and toe in. Thanks!
  6. Yes, that's fabric hook, I had nothing else at hand when I had to pull the car to trailer. I'm looking for proper ones both front and back so if anyone know some good aluminium ones please let me know. Muffler is something I found from local parts store, I can't remember which brand it is but it's stainless and 3" in and 2x2.5" out. Outlets are a bit too far apart but it will do for this summer. Wheels are Image Wheels RM1 and 9.5x16 et-05 and 8x16 et-05. I was too shy with the fronts and will change the lips 0.5" wider. I modified the rear hubs to 5x114.3 and had front hubs made. Brakes are a mix of parts from Audi, Nissan and Porsche.
  7. Finally some better pictures of my RB26 240Z. Still a lot to do but at least it's driveable.
  8. Thanks for offers! Rack has been found.
  9. Wanted a good steering rack for 240Z. Thanks!
  10. Hi all! I'm looking for short nose R200 swap parts for 240Z, at least moustache bar and front mount. I know I can get them new from TTT or AZC but let's try this first.
  11. Here's mine. Far from finished but finally driveable and long winter ahead to get it ready at last.
  12. As the title says I'm after a new or used tailgate lock with a key. PM or tide75 (a) hotmail.com Thanks!
  13. I wanted to try something different so I went with 930 Fuchs 9x16 et15 and 7x16 et23 with 245/45 and 205/55 tires. Front hubs are custom made with the right pcd and at rear I have adapters from 5x114.3 to 5x130. Not everybody likes these wheels on a Datsun but I really like the look.
  14. Yes, I used search before posting this and I know McKinney products and propably will end up buying mounts from them. They seem to make very good products. I was just wondering if anyone has extra set they are willing to sell.
  15. Hello! I'm doing the swap to RB26DETT engine and RB25 transmission and would like to buy mounts for them. Thanks!
