  1. The backs are Nitto 555R's. For the power mine puts down, they haven't made much difference against other street tires. In general, the car feels very sloppy on handling, but my comparisons are a modded Trans Am and the fiancee's new G37. For a car on the street, the Yokohama Advan Sports do not disappoint but they smallest is a 17". The have an "S-Drive" as well that comes in smaller sizes common on the Z cars. I hear the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's are in the same league. Blacking out the trim makes a big difference, as did removing the side markers. IMO, if you painted it yellow with black trim, the bumpers would look best in black.
  2. I believe it's a House of Kolor Galaxy Grey Metallic (Coarse). Originally I was going to have a faint green hue added to the first layers of clear, but we bailed on it since it'd be impossible to ever match. The airbrushing is done under the clear coats in various Kandy colors, and the clear is so thick you can't even feel the texture of the brushing. Unfortunately the paint has flaked up in a couple areas where there are sharp corners. :\ Aside from the paint, the side markers are removed, all the chrome is blacked out, and it has electric locks so I don't have to scratch the car with the key.
  3. I actually took the car home in 2006 (IIRC), but these are the first pictures I took since. I still have a lot of work to do on the interior and cleaning up the engine bay.
  4. I'm in Austin and I don't want to ship it. Actually, I don't want to deal with it at all, which is why it's free. Someone has to need it NO cracks or big pits, but it's observably "aged" so I replaced it when I had the car painted 3 years ago. Came off my '78 280Z. Sam 281.381.0232
  5. I assume you want one or the other? I want the 8.8 kit... I wonder if he'd work a deal w/ some other susp. components. :hmm:
  6. So has anyone heard of [edit: someone breaking] the R230 yet? I might have the opportunity to be the first person to break it, although I'm also considering the Ford 8.8 IRS for strength. It seems the axles end up the first part to fail. Is anyone making 4340 or billet axles for the R230?
  7. $8000 on April 23 of I think it was 2002. Dad @ I flew to San Diego and drove 25 hours home in a hybrid Z without a hiccup.
  8. Mine works but it's not accurate (forget whether fast or slow). I could replace the core with one from an accurate clock without changing the appearance. Oh and my entire interior's about to be for sale which includes the clock.
  9. I don't think you'd see it hiding under the mullet.
  10. Is that "thing" here in Austin? I'm also waiting for an LSX to show up for my Z... ordered it in Oct. I'm only putting an 8.50 cert cage in mine though. Edit: what price should I expect for a set of headers like that? My turbo's going in the same place and we're planning on that style/routing setup. They are gorgeous. :yum:
  11. I'm sorry you lost your cousin due to someone being an idiot. Your post is some serious flamebait man...
  12. Here are a couple things I bet you haven't seen. Once you try them, you'll never want to get stuck on a computer without them again. Posted them on my blog for reference: http://blog.280z28.org
