I'm trying to decide with my budget whether or not it's possible and or practicle for me to use my N47 and N42 head and block combo and turbo it or if I should buy a turbo motor and go that route. I'm working with about $4,000.00 and need to buy paint, wheels/ tires, EMS, upholstery, fuel cell, and pump, and either a new motor and upgrading it or turboing what I have and upgrad...

  2. I think that you have taken what I said and what was said in my thread by someone else and have joined the two. I get exactly what you are saying and I understand what you have done for your build, Pharoh said that there was limited capabilities with boost running your set up, not me. I'm sorry for it being confusing and believe me I am still searching for the answer to my question.

  3. You are making this overly complicated. It's a F54 block with flat top pistons and a P79 head.

    The only difference between the turbo F54 and the N/A F54 are the pistons. Turbos are 10cc dished, N/As are flat. The P79 and P90 have the same exact chamber cc and shape. I don't know what you're talking about "limited capabilities" unless you mean more sensitive to det...

    Love the choice in motor, as I am going to do the same thing. What probs have you run into and who has been your biggest support person(s). I am new to Z cars but not new to Custom work however I have never swapped any motors into past cars or trucks just made them better. I will need help.
