  1. I know this thread is old but i'd like to know on availability as well. Thanks idjnoodz@yahoo.com David
  2. How far you able to rev up to? Maybe your MAF could be bad or you are running an atmospheric BOV so when revving up it is calling your motor to stall. I've had this happened before.
  3. Not in Texas but I'm in Oklahoma City doing a rb26dett/s14 swap. Love to get my hands on a 240z someday though.
  4. Fentin, your car is a beast. I will definitely check out neetronics. Thanks for the goods.. -Dave
  5. Also has a non-hicus p/s pump which only r33 rb26's have.
  6. When i mean by "hard to find" I mean that whenever I tried calling places for specifically an r33, all they had were r32s. I guess maybe they are more plentiful than I thought here in the states. But in my case I had to order it overseas from Japan. You're right, I don't truly know the actual condition of the internals but he gave me a compression test. Leakdown test I will soon do myself. Thanks for the comments.
  7. You guys have seen my posts before about my r33 rb26 engine in japan awaiting to be shipped and also my posts about getting n1 water, oil pumps for cheap as well as tension, idler pulleys. Well I finally received my r33 rb26 and it's SUPER clean. All tubes and pipes were all plugged with rubber caps. Shipping took 3 days from the guys shop in california to my house in oklahoma! I definitely recommend Karim on buying any motor from. I want to help members on this board find a reputable importer who gets the cleanest motors....especially R33 which are super hard to find. His email is r390sports@sbcglobal.net and i think his name on this board is racer98. He kept me up to date on the motor everytime I called him and emailed him. He even emailed me pics when it arrived at his shop in Japan and even relayed messages from the shipper's emails to me! Great customer service. Anyways on with the pics..... sorry these pics don't do justice from when i first received the motor. These shots were taken after I taken some things off to inspect.
  8. I may have done a dumb thing. If you go to http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=756 and look at their tensioner, I chose the rb26dett version which costs like $50 while their rb20/rb25 is like $29 something. I should of just purchased the rb25 one as it's the same as the rb26...i think. Could of saved myself $20 bucks oh well =
  9. Well folks I have some good news for you! I've been trying to find n1 waterpump, n1 oilpump, new OEM tensioner pulley, idler pulley, and tensioner spring for my Rb26. I had a friend that could get me one but he ran out of stock so after some HARDCORE searching I found some sites that offer these parts for cheap! So these parts will help us RB guys without getting ripped off by these damn marked prices on ebay..etc. www.mynismo.com has a sale going on for n1 water pump $130! I just received mine today and I paid a total of $140 shipped. Shipping took like 3 days! Excellent service. http://forums2.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=153947 here is the forum where i found the August only sale for the n1 waterpump so you better hurry! http://www.nismoparts.com/catalog/?section=756 Searched and i found nismoparts.com to have the cheapest price for the rb26/rb25 idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and cheap n1 oil pump! N1 oil pump for only $197! Idler and tensioner pulley for only $30 each! Now I have received my parts order confirmation from them through the email. They haven't sent these items yet as they are shipping it from their warehouse. So i'll post back once i receive them. You guys don't have to thank me Now the only thing I'm in need of is the tensioner spring. Does anyone know where I can locate one?
  10. Yeah, shogunmotorsports. I believe that is Sean from takaramotors? Those deals on the n1 wp and oil pump are pretty damn good. J. Soileau RB26zcar I will be Pm'ing you on your price. Does anyone else know of any other places that sell these n1 units cheap? Thanks. -David
  11. Hey fellas, as you guys know i'm getting a r33 rb26dett. I'm in the process of looking for parts..particularly n1 oil pump and n1 water pump. I found the idler tension pulley and spring at www.tophatperformance.com for $150. Not a bad price. But do you guys know a place to get the n1 oil and n1 water pump for cheap? Let me know! Thanks. -David
  12. Yea i Trust Karim on this motor. He says it's a r33 so it is a r33. I was just making 100% sure. Karim seems honest and always up to date on this motor. Can't wait to receive it. Thanks for the input.
