That Z31 is from Japan so the steering problem isn't a real problem (or so i've heard) so if you are really set on a RB26DETT then do a RHD conversion too.

yeah, that's what i told him to do, but from my understanding it is pretty hard to find one of those in good condition....but i could be wrong

hi, i was just looking for some referances about doing this. my friend just popped the CA18ET motor that came stock in it and is thinking about doing the SR20DET into it. i was just wondering if anyone had any info on it. thanks in advance - Nick

I'm 99% Sure the RB26DETT won't fit, i believe it has some problem withthe steering rack not clearing, i've only seen it done on RHD Z31's if you are serious about doing a swap i'd do a 2JZ. Or just keep with the VG30ET, it's just a underated motor. or ever think about a V8 Swap?
