  1. Be ready to replace you alternator. The OE alternator is not all that great at IIRC 90amp? I upgraded to a 2004 350z alternator on mine.
  2. If you want to run a short nose diff you will have to change the rear suspension out for a z32/s13/s14/r32/r33 rear subframe. You will need a custom driveshaft no matter what though.
  3. To remove the crank pulley (harmonic damper, first remove the large bolt in the center (early engines are a 22mm or 7/8", and later engines are a 27mm.) then you can use a puller or stick a couple pry bars behind the pulley 180 degrees from each other and "wobble" it off. I did this on my 85T engine the other day, it took about 10 minutes to get off. I always remove the harmonic damper before removing the timing covers.
  4. I have a set of the V1 bump steer spacers for the Z31 sitting on the desk next to my bed. What measurements do you need to know? There are a few different versions for the V2, one that will adjust camber and one that will adjust steering angle. The style that will adjust for camber should be available very soon. Z31parts.com is in the loop about all of the parts as far as I know.
  5. Yea, it is still an rb25det. IIRC he put down over 600whp the last time on the dyno on stock internals.
  6. Yea, ls2 coils have the ignitor built in, no need for another ignitor. Both myself and Evan run ls2 coils, he did a write up. It is over on nicoclub. Same for the GN coil pack writeup. If you don't already have the LSx coils, they aren't cheap. $38 each from the parts stores or you can go with the GN coil pack for under 20 bucks.
  7. Since it has been a while for me to post, I might as well say what I have been doing... I became a moderator over on z31performance, started another project (1988 Shiro special) and have been putting all of my spare time into that car. I blew it up after 14 miles the first time I got it together, then blew the turbo up after that rebuild, and now I am in the midst of a clutch that was rated to hold 400wtq and doesn't. Alas as soon as I hit the 400whp goal for the shiro, I will be back on the rb30det build in full force.
  8. And here I am about to throw one in the garbage. I had no idea that they are worth anything. Thanks for the info.
  9. I am with gregmatic on this one. I used to run 18x10's in the rear and currently run 18x9.5's at all four corners with 275/35's. My next setup will be 18x9.5 in the front and 18x11.5 in the rear. There is a ton of room under the rear fenders.
  10. Yep, it pretty much pops out once you have the flywheel off. Very similar to this.
  11. This is the best that I have on my hard drive currently.
  12. Don't count out LoveFab manifolds, they make them for RB's with or without a/c for fitment in s13/s14 chassis. But they are spendy also.
  13. Awesome R33 Eric! What happened to the s30?
  14. Hey jason,

ok, why did you get a new oil pan? will the stock RB25 oil pan fit? will i need to get a new rack and pinion or did you just need a new one? what did you do with your power steering lines? i believe thats it, for now. haha.

  15. I don't really have the time to make do another set currently, but I can put you in contact with a z31 member that will make a set. His screen name on z31performance.com is Butter. On ziptied.com his screen name is Crab Spirits. He will need your existing strut tubes or to know what year z31 you have. Between Butter and I, we have all years strut tubes. I will be at his house sometime during the week after christmas.
