  4. Ok, I bought an Edelbrock crate engine and it is overheating. 16 inch Electric Fan, Motorsport Auto 350 conversion Radiator. Same setup ran fine with a stock 350. This crate engine is 310 HP. It is getting to around 230 F right now. Why is it Sooooo HOT? Any ideas would be appreciated.
  5. Well, Had the car on the road for about 85 miles. Seemed to have way to much vibration. So I Had a mechanic check out the car. Seems I was only running on 5 cylinders. YES, I am just learning about engines. They did a differential pressure check and it seems my valves were leaking 30 psi with 60 psi going in!!!! The people I bought my long block from did not want to believe me. The mechanic talked to them and they tried to bullshit him!! So, I tore the engine apart and took the heads to a machine shop. I am waiting for the final word. Boy...talk about frustrated and pissed off!!! Well they tell me that is all part of making cars go fast!
  6. Ok, I took some advice I got on the board and used a 0-100K variable resistor to try to get my tack working with my 350. It turns out that the resistance I needed was approximately 311 ohms. This was quite a bit off from the 15K that the JTR manual suggested. I hope this may help ohters in the future. I put about 25 miles on the New car last night. A few concerns with vibration. Think I am gonna take it to a driveline shop and see if they can measure the angles and hook me up. But boy, what a difference from the old stock engine!!! I have a T5 tranny and 2nd gear really pulls well! I am so excited to have the car on the road. Still have alot to do, but at least I can drive my baby again, It has been sitting for 4 years!!! Thanks to all Who helped with my wiring and other questions!!!

  10. Still having problems with Clutch. I have the Tilton 5/8" Master and T-5 Camaro Slave. Seems to be bleed properly, but not getting sufficient slave movement. How much travel do I need? I think I have about 3/4 of an inch movement now. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  11. bought a 18 circuit wiring kit from painless. I am a little lost on some of the connections. Mainly running the painless kit to the Datsun combo switch. I have a 72 240Z. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks! Here is what I need to know: Where do I connect the following wires? Lights/washer/wiper switch: Top Section Middle Bottom Section GW ----> ?   15. I bought them from Motorsport auto. I think they were designed for use with an automatic tranny. I think they are S&S brand. I think they could be modified, but am worried about the heat on the slave cylinder.
