  1. looks like its gonna be zippy !! great work i noticed you have a tape measure on your fender.. could you measure how wide the motor is from intake across to the furthest part of your turbo? and also length from back of the head to furthest front pulley? if you could i would be forever in your debt
  2. it has been done !! there are a handful running around and probably twice as many under the knife http://forum.4g61t.org/
  3. turbo+ fwd colt= suckage.. ask me how i know.. AWD or RWD next year... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i277/turbokid1/DSCF0203-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i277/turbokid1/DSCF0208-1.jpg cool project, i will be watching this one close. let us know how the clutch combo works out for you.
  4. thank you Justin.. thats my name too ! i'm also looking for the width of the GTE as well guys, both with stock twins and whatever aftermarket singles you may have.
  5. i was wondering if some of you 2jz guys could post some basic measurements of the 2jz, not only for me but to help others in a search. i've searched everwhere and cant find dimensions. i've "heard" that it is ~29 inches long, how wide is it, including intake mani and twins? z-gad could you throw a tape across your motor and see how wide it is from the turbo to the intake? appreciate any help.
  6. probably second only to the ls1.. http://dsmchips.com/ this guy can do anything you want... 1000cc injectors? no prob. and anything inbetween running race gas? he can give leaner mixtures and agressive timing maps for anything you want. i've seen a talon in the 9's with one of these chips and a SAFC with 1000cc injectors of coarse you could do what most fast dsm guys do and run the dsmlink and make your own changes http://www.dsmlink.com/ i currently have a hybridized 4g63 swapped car but mine is FWD. and let me tell you what, this little motor rocks.. 20psi daily on pumpgas and all kinds of traction problems... http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i277/turbokid1/DSCF0203-2.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i277/turbokid1/DSCF0208-1.jpg
  7. i hear ya on that.. my uncle is a BB ford maniac.. hes got 3 mercury cyclone spoilers with the 429 cj motors.. and i tell ya those motors are monsters... sooo expensive to build though. you could build 3 SB chevys to 500 hp for the same as a BB ford rebuild... lol
  8. hello, my name is turbokid and i have a problem...
  9. i've never really understood the whole.. "the motor was designed for a truck not a sports car" thing when refering to the ka24 or the 7m.. if i recall correctly the ford 5.0/302 came in trucks.. the chevy 350 came in trucks.. the chevy LSx variants went into trucks. the mazda rotary went into trucks.. and last time i checked all these motors went into sports cars as well.. Does this mean that the mustang, corvette, and rx7 are not sports cars..??
  10. sounds familiar.. haha..
  11. thanks alot man. much appreciated!!
  12. looking good!! whats the length of the 7m.. ive searched EVERYWHERE and cant find it i want to put a 7m in another car but i'm unsure of the length.. any 7m swappers wanna measure there motor from the back of the head to harm. balancer minus the stock fan setup? if you could i would be forever in your debt
  13. another utah guy... cool. by the way guys i found a place that makes adapters for the toyota transmissions to the ford 302 http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/manualadapters.html
