  1. I got my full set of speedhut gauges from Steve about 2-weeks ago and I am now just getting around to posting about it. They are some really nice units, Revolution with a few changes to the pointer color, etc. They came pretty quick....about 1 1/2 weeks after I ordered. Steve is a really good guy to work with and responds quickly to your questions and is a true Z fan like all of us. Thanks a lot for the sweet gauges.
  2. I was going to start on my fuel system for my LS1 swap into a 73 240z. I really want to keep my stock tank and not have to cut anything. I have read through many articles on welding in a sump but I swear I read on the forum that somebody used a BC Broncos fuel accumulator/filter on their stock tank w/o welding in a sump and they had great results with no fuel starvation even with some autocross time. I would like to know that setup if someone knows who that is or who has possibly done it. I will be using the standard walbro pump, and corvette fpr that most everyone uses.
  3. If you are looking to just replace the compressor with a perfect fitting/upgraded replacement a company called Nostalgic Air Parts has a "Datsun 240z/260z/280z compressor upgrade kit" Looks like it runs $400.00 for compressor, bracket, hoses and belts. Let me know how this works if you get it. I am in the same boat as you, to either gut the stock system or just upgrade the compressor and use the old condensor/evaporator/blower.
  4. I was wondering what the majority of the people have done on the wiring upgrades to their S30 cars when a LS engine swap was performed. Are you just adding an additional constant hot & switched fuse block to the existing stock wiring harness of the S30 or replaceing the whole wiring harness and fuse panel with a aftermarket unit from E-Z, Kwik wire or painless and completely rewiring the car? Just wondering if anyone is having problems with the stock wiring handling the increased amperage from the alternator of the LS-1 engines. I have done a complete re-wire on a vehicle before and although it is nice to have the extra circuits to run power windows, door locks, etc...it is a pretty big deal to do and if the stock wiring is sufficient with the correct add on fuse blocks/relays I would like to go that route. I like to know your thoughts and how they have been working for you. Thanks,
