  1. How hard was it to fab a bracket to fit the mustang tranny to the sbc? It seems the ford T5 is quite stronger than the Chevy version. I would love to have a Ford T5 behind my 350sbc
  2. Sorry man. Anyway I got one in Lima Ohio. Mods delete please
  3. Looking to buy a V8 swapped S30 in the Ohio area. Looking to spend between 5K-6K. What Im looking for is a running swap that needs some cosmetic work (ie: paint, interior and so on) I do not want one with extensive rust damage.
  4. AWESOME. Im doing the same engine in my 78 280Z. I have the GMPP LT1 carb conversion intake on mine already. You have to weld the Opti-spark hole on the front of the timing cover incase you dont know. The problem Im running into is where to mount the alternator. I hear the JTR kit mounts the alternator so low that it hits the frame rail. Let me know what you find out
  5. Please do Leopard. Im getting everyting together to do the swap. Got the JTR swap manual to help. I cant wait. Thanks for the answers.
  6. Ok guys, I know this topic has been beat to death and finding a clear cut answer with the search engine has beaten me to death too. Here goes. Im running a 96 LT1 in my 280Z. Im going carbureated. I only want to use the crank and the alternator. Im using a electric water pump so thats no big deal. My question is, has anyone found a bracket that will work on a 280Z that will allow you to run an alternator/crank pulley only? God I hope so. Im dead set on a carb setup because A) Its a lot neater in the engine bay. Ive already got everything to do it (carb, intake mani, dizzy, and opti hole plug and so on). Thank you so much. BTW HYBRIDZ ROCKS
  7. For some reason, I cant access the website any longer. I was on my way to get some stuff for my 280z for Christmas and walah, no website. Whats the deal?
  8. Im going this Saturday to look at a 78 280Z. Ive never owned one but my dad had a 72 240Z with a SBC in 1982. I need to know what to look for when checking this car out. I know of the typical front frame rail rust in front of the front wheels, floor pan rust and rocker rust but are there any more place prone to rust on these? Any other issues I need to look for? Thanks alot. Im very excited to get this car home and start on my LT1 conversion.
