  1. You have no chance of a CCW permit here in MD. We as a may issue state but the requirements are great and the reasons for isue are so few, they may as well call it a no-issue state. We also do not recognize any other state's permits. There are restrictions on semi-auto long guns and mag capacity so check the laws before you get here. As far as housing, anything in the immediate area of the fort is a no-go. If you want a generally safe area, short commute, good schools - check out Pasadena, Severna Park, Arnold, Millersville, Crofton, Annapolis, Davidsonville, or Gambrills. The cost of living is high but, hey, you're comming from Hawaii so you know what expensive is. If you are a democrat, welcome to heaven; if a republican, welcome to hell. All joking aside, welcome to MD!
  2. The sump isn't baffled and that's OK because if it was installed correctly the bottom of the tank would be the baffle. As they did it, there is nothing to keep gas from sloshing out at all because the whole bottom where the sump is was cut out. I did. I posted on "all" the Z boards for maxumum exposure and opinions. Thanks to all for the replies and comments.
  3. I just had my tank media blasted, boiled, and sealed. While doing so I delivered a Competition Engineering sump to be installed as a part of my fuel system upgrade. When I got it back, instead of drilling out three - five holes in the floor of the tank and welding in the sump, they cut out the bottom of the tank the size of the while sump. As a result the sump is now not baffled. I don't like it and am not happy with it but the vendor basically said, "Too bad unless you want to pay us to fix it." I took my tank and left. I have a real concern about the sump not being baffled properly and in low fuel situations allowing for fuel starvation. Am I right to be concerned or am I worrying about nothing?
  4. The pic shows what I need. I only need one in any color but I would take 2 in black if anyone could part with them. If you can help out let me know and tell me what you're look to get for them. I prefer Paypal.
  5. Not a direct answer to your question but.... Google "pioneer audio wiring diagram" and a ton of pictures will appear showing you what each wire on the head unit is for. Go to http://www.xenons30.com/reference.html and download the factory service manual for your model year to find the wires that connect to the head unit. Good luck!
  6. Let me guess, the seller was reddat? I may have a 77-78 sender laying around. The last I saw it everything was in place but was a bit rusty. It worked when it came out of the tank last year but I can't guarantee it works now. Let me know if you want pics or to make an offer.

  8. Try searching - this has been covered extensively recently.
  9. Nice job! Nit picking, but it would be nice to be able to dim the digitals down to match the illumination of the Speedhuts.
  10. By a lack of response, I'm going to assume this project is dead?
  11. The tanks for the carb vs FI engines are different. The fuel senders are different as well. You may be better off having your tank boiled, repaired as needed, and sealed. My 2 cents.
  12. 23Zed, that is sweet. My only concern would be water into the engine compartment but that is an easy fix.
  13. I really wish these fit the 77-78 models.
  14. Try calling MSA; I'm sure they can help you out.
