  1. I get red X's for those images, maybe just me though.... I made the door pods myself. Here is a workup I did on them: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/1/2043784 KL
  2. To all there own, I guess. Everyone seems to have the exact same wheel on their Z. Like this one: Guess I wanted to do something a bit different. I like'em and that's all that matters in my book. Thanks otherwise.
  3. Well I haven't posted any pics of my 2+2 here in quite a while. I have the car about 90% complete. I still have to finish the custom sub boxes, that will house my amps, cross-over and DVD-Changer in the hatch; install my HID headlights, and the alarm system (the electric locks are already functional). I also have some braided stainless work to do under the hood.
  4. Where did you get the projectors (I already have HID)?
  5. Is there a way to bench test a stock tachometer. I want to verify mine is functioning before I chase down gremlins.
  6. I am attempting this swap, but using a GM alternator. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=974782 I have a '75 280z which like the 260z has an AMP gauge and not a volt gauge. I have finished wiring up the alternator side, but have a question/problem about the regulator side. When looking at the plug, my car totally lacks the green/red wire in hole 1. Vs. I know that the White (2) & Yellow (3) wires should be joined, but since the Green/Red wire is missing in my harness, do I NOT connect up the Black/White wire? I plan on sticking with the amp gauge since it is original to the car. Does the gauge function after the swap? Thanks for your help.
  7. I have a tachometer in my '77 that is stuck at 2,500RPM. I've removed it from the car and wondered if there is any way to revive this tach. When I spin the needle, I feel a slight rough spot. I have NO IDEA how this thing disassemble. I have the needle off and the gauge face off also.
  8. Naviathan, I wasn't referring to you when I questioned the need for name calling. Russell (AKA Dtsnlvrs) told me not to be dense (which are PROMISE you is about as far from the truth as you can get). I did find your litany on not taking your word (and other's) based on the length of time you have been working on Z's and the number of car's you have, a bit silly, but I digress. I also don't understand why making the same post on two different forums a bad thing. You can see by the number of posts I have here at hybridz.org that I don't come around that often, but I do post quite often on the other forum. That highlights why I posted here, I was hoping to get the information I was looking for from someone here who doesn't read the other forum. Just because you read both forums doesn't mean everyone does. Paul, thanks for the additional information. I will proceed with Blue's instructions. Thanks Again, Kyle
  9. Dude, come on. This is turning into a chest pounding and name calling thread..... WTF????!!! It's a simple question. If the info ain't there, fine...... But really.......
  10. This has nothing to do with not taking your word for it or how long you've been working on Z's. I've been driving and working on my z-car since you were four years old. I'm just inquiring on the EXACT swap I'm trying to accomplish. If there isn't any documentation other than the one on Blue's site, I will run with it.
  11. Ya, I already have this one. This one is the Toyota Cressida, I am looking for the 280z N/A to 280z Turbo upgrade swap. Thanks.
  12. Does anyone know where a write-up or How To for this modification is located? I've already seen a write up on swapping a N/A AFM's guts into a Toyota Cressida AFM. I am looking for information on swapping my N/A AFM into a 280zx Turbo AFM. Thanks, Kyle
  13. Oh, if you want to see more images of the color, you can hit my gallery. http://www.laughbaum.com/zCar/Gallery KL
  14. OK, I'll have to get it tonight. I have one pint left. I can tell you it's a 2000-2002 GM color called Argent Silver. Very nice color in my opinion. I was expecting it to come out lighter when looking at the paint sample, but I am totaly happy with it (Happy Accident). KL
