  1. After working on Z's for 43 years, this is the WORST cooling system I've ever seen. Super calcium buildup! on a very clean series 1 240Z a customer brought in. Check these pics:
  2. Whats your opinion on your battery selection?, I see your using the Die-Hard AGM's. I'm using the "heavy" Trojan J150's (1008 lbs.) and considering going to AGM's. Less range but much more power & much less weight! Joe
  3. Thanks T M, Looks like you have a very inpressive Z yourself. Joe
  4. No clutch in this Z, I just had it in neutral. Joe
  5. Has anybody installed a dash cap then tried to remove the speedometer or tach to replace a bulb or something? It seems almost impossible (without ruining you dash cap) to remove these.

    Electric 280Z
  7. You're right I don't post too much, too busy with other things. But heres a pic anyway. Still needs a lot of work before it goes to the Motorsport Auto show. Joe
  8. The batteries weigh 84 lbs. a piece X 12 = 1008 lbs. So I'm guessing this Z weighs 3200+ lbs. since the curb weight was 2870. I bought the parts from electric vehicles of america in NH. I don't want to post that many pics until it's painted, not too proud of the way this Z looks right now. Pic #1: No more fuel lines & gas tank Pic #2: No more I.C.E.
  9. I used the Curtis controller 1231C, good luck finding it for under $1000
  10. Yep its a 280Z EV, I just decided I wanted to try something different. It runs on electric power still using the 5 speed Nissan trans with no clutch but needs a lot of paint & body work but hey .... It runs.
