  1. I trimmed the vinyl and now it fits ok. I removed the lock washer and used some high strength loc-tite. I will check on it after I drive it for a while. I think it will hold.
  2. Thanks for moving the thread. I will have to try moving the vinyl out of the way. I am going to do some autocross this summer and want to keep things as planted as possible. What do you think they are used for drag racing?
  3. I bought MSA's rear strut bar. When I went to install it there is not enough room to get the lock washer and nut back on the three studs. Not even enough for just the nut. I didn't have this problem with the front. Has any one else had this problem? If so what are my options? I have searched with no luck.
  4. I'll have to check that out. i have some more that I need to block off also.
  5. Here is the picture. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=18939&ppuser=20419 What do these hoses and contraptions(sp?) do and can I just remove them? My hose hits the MSA strut bar. I can keep it if needed, but if I dont need it then I want to remove it. Jeremy
  6. Just a follow up of the question of the 0-60 times. I took the 240z to the track last summer and ran a 15.4 at 89mph. since then I have done a tune up and changed the timing to 36 degrees total advance. It pulls really hard up top now. I have to look into a new differential to go with the 5 speed.
  7. I set the advance to 35 degrees which is 16 degrees at idle. The car feels so much better. thanks
  8. Thanks for answering my questions. I will play around tomorrow and see how it turns out.
  9. thanks for the response If i rev it past 3K rpm when adjusting the timing will it continue to retard the timing or will it stop at 3k rmp. Where can i find the vacuum advance hose?
  10. Help me! I have a '71 240z with a 280zx E12-80 Distributor. I am trying to set the timing and am not sure exactly what to set it to? I have used the search but am still confused. I think that i should set it to 12 deg. BTDC. but im not sure if i need to disconect anything from the 280zx distributor. The car runs good I just want to make sure I am getting everything I can out of her before I move to a L28. My mods are in my sig. Is 12 deg. a safe place to be? Do i need to disconect anything from the 280zx distributor? How do I check the advance? Thanks in sdvance for all your help.
