  1. here are some photos of my mounts mounted right as i drop motor in. hope these help
  2. im not a mechanic by any means. I can do basic stuff like brakes, radiator change, small jobs etc. I bought the JTR book, bought the GM mounts it said to buy, and did what the book said to and my 350 its sitting nice and cozy in my 260z. Took a lot of trial and error, but mostly due to not hammering the transmission tunnel enough to make room for my tranny. Mounting the motor mounts to the block with the JTR stuff was one of the easiest steps i have had since i started my swap. If i were any good and electrical and made of money to buy more stuff to finish it, I would be on the road already, lol. Good luck with your swap man.
  3. lol, sorry but is there any way you could send the wiring diagram to me as well? cableproct3@yahoo.com. thanks, im having so much trouble with this wiring its really the only thing holding me back!
  4. I currently have a turbo 350 in my 260 and I have done the JTR conversion with the JTR tranny mount, was thinking of eventually going with an overdrive transmission. I have heard the 200r4 and th350 are pretty comparable in size and was wondering if any of you have done this swap> was also wondering if it would bolt up exactly where i have my tranny mount is now or would i have to move it. Any tips would be great. Im pretty unfamiliar with the 200r4 but alot of guys on this site prefer that so im looking into it.
  5. http://www.datsunforum.com/Datsun_Wiring_Diagrams/Datsun%20260Z/Datsun_260Z_Wiring_Diagram_1974.pdf We all have found out that the JTR wiring schematic they give you in the book doesnt help much for a 260z, and i have been searching for help all across the internet. I came across this wiring diagram and this has been a HUGE help. I hope this can help. here is a link to another good one. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/wiringdiagrams/74_260Z_wiring.pdf Hope these help you guys.
  6. http://www.datsunforum.com/Datsun_Wiring_Diagrams/Datsun%20260Z/Datsun_260Z_Wiring_Diagram_1974.pdf i have a 260z myself and am doing the wiring, i found this very helpful, hope it helps you
  7. here is my '74 late 260z 350 w/ turbo 350 edelbrock 600 carb edelbrock intake sanderson headers JTR engine and transmission mounts B&M Megashifter HEI distributor w/MSD cap & rotor I'm not on the road yet, but with some work tonight and tomorrow I should have it fired up finally. I am beyond excited!!
  8. i just bought this cable last night at autozone in california for 11 bucks. Im still a month or two from driving it, but when i get it out on the road ill provide you guys with some feedback.
  9. im using the JTR kit, and the set back plate prevents you from using mechanical fuel pump, had to block that off
  10. also if anyone could recommend an inexpensive FPR to use with the stock fuel pump that would be great!
  11. I have my motor and transmission bolted up finally! Going to be installing everything else soon after I find someone to shorten my driveline. My question is this. For now could I use the stock electric fuel pump off my 260 to feed my SBC? Just had a baby and wife has taken control of the finances so im looking for ways to save a little money to atleast get it running and then install new fuel pump later on. Thanks everyone.
