hey guys this may be a stupid question but i need help fast. I bought a universal ACCEL ignition coil for my 83 280zx turbo and i am not exactly sure how it should be wired up, because i am getting no spark. Is there any special way? or any other suggestions as to why im getting no spark?

ya the engine is actually fully built and ready to put in the car now, i got a stage 3 clutch off of gripforce. Ya if u have any questions just let me know.

hey guys i have almost completed my 280 engine rebuild project. It it stock for now, i am just trying to get it top notch before i start modifying it more. heres some pics of my recent work.. I am 18, i do all my own work, and this project was actually done in my high school auto shop.

no im not planning on keeping it stock i just need to only run the stock 7psi at first cuz the engine will be stock at first.

oh ok i understand now thanks guys! i actually have a local machine shop that does good work i might pic up a holset for a good price (if possible) and have him bore it out for me, then use my stock z actuator. My final question is can the holset hook up to the stock downpipe and intake hose? Or what kind of mods do you have to do to make it work?

how big of a task is porting the wastegate can you do it yourself? And i could just thread the wastegate actuator. Do you have to do both for the holset?

P.S. i would like to steer away from an external wastegate for now... i dont have the time or money to accomplish that at the moment:sad:

Im up for suggestions. The stock turbo on my engine is shot as far as i can tell as of yet. i have not taken it apart yet but i can move the turbine blade about a half inch either way it just jiggles around in there, thats why i am needing a solution for some performance stuff, but running the stock 7psi for now. Maybe i should just get a stock replacement?? any suggestions?

i want to put the holset hy35 turbo on my 83 zxt but i will need it to run the stock 7psi at first. is this even possible??? and if so how do i do it? any ifo will be great!

hey guys i am new to the 280 world iv been driving a 85' nissan 720 4x4 for a while now. Anyway what i need help with is any suggestions or advice as to what i should to performance wise to my 280 i am looking for about 300 to 350 HP roughly the engine in my car is the original and only has about 70k miles on it. But i am deperite for some serious 280 guru advise. iv been doing alot of research on various things like the holset turbo swap and BOV's and i would like some advice on what injectors and fuel rails i could use, Along with intercoolers and such. Basically any advice will be greatly appreciated
