  1. Blue72, I haven't done a compresion test on the cylinders yet. I plan on doing it sooner or later. But, there is a possiblity that it might not be HG related but it is a very big chance that it is. My girlfriends dad is a auto technician and help me run some diagnostics over the phone. But if the block is cracked or if the head is I might just give up on my ol' L28.... And start my next project. Thanks for the input though. No one has had this problem though?
  2. Dapiper, I checked that hose specifically but it's leaking onto the tranny but I can actually see the. Coolant leak out from the cylinder head and block. I was thinking it might have been the head gasket.... Like you said too but my cooling system is pressurizing. I thank you for your help I just. Need some answers before I rip my head off. Thanks again man.
  3. I searched for about a good hour and couldn't find anything on this. It is probably out there though. I am leaking coolant behind #6 on the passenger side of the car right above the tranny. It is leaking in-between the head and the block right where the gasket is... I also checked the hoses for the cooling system but no leaks. This depleted my over flow completely and has gone into my radiator too. I ran the car for about 15 minutes today and started to leak coolant all over the driveway. I am not sure if has gone into my cylinders yet but it starts to leak as soon as the system builds pressure. But the car idles and drives perfectly fine. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or something like it. Thanks guys.
  4. Update on my friend up there StaticX27's car. It was recovered. But not in one piece. They took a lot of memorable things. His motor and tranny, his rims , seats, and steering wheel. The police were able to recover some of the things that the bandits left. But it still doesn't replace the memories and time that he worked on the car. I hope justice is brought upon the people that did steal his car. Thanks for everyones concern and keeping an eye out. We both really appreciate everyone in the car community and wish everyone the best for their projects. Thanks again guys. -Brian
  5. Rudypoochris- There is no point. He had so much money put into that car plus the illegal mods will just kill him. Challenger- S13silviagirl makes her own shift/brake boots from Japanese fabric. They are actually really nice. Good quality too. "Technically" It's Japanese Domestic Market. And "Technically" it's custom. The JDM parts that you are talking about are from Japan that came with the original S14. I think.... EMWHYROHEN- Never Mind there are pictures of the car. He just posted on Zilvia.net. Here is a link. They are a bit old though. http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a35/everythingsbs/socal_imports/james/?start=all
  6. I thank you all for the support. We know most of the local garages that work on S Chasis cars. So it might be easier to find. But the last thing we are hoping for is the car to just be gone.
  7. Yeah I know. But still it's our S chasis brothers out there that are getting their cars stolen too. I'm not expecting much but for everyone in So-Cal to at least keep their eyes out. But I appreciate your insight. And I thank you much for it. Take care. -Brian
  8. Hey guys I know the Z community in Southern California is very big and I know all of us love our cars just like anyone else. One of my friends had his S14 stolen on Tuesday and I wanted to ask if you guys just could keep your eyes out. Here is the post from Zilvia.net for the the guys that are on it. So I went into work like I normally did yesterday at around 1pm, left to go get some parts almost immediately and was back at around 2pm. Came out for my cig break at around 330ish and the car was still there. Came out for my lunch break at 6pm and it was gone. Looked up and down the parking lot hoping I just misplaced it, but no luck in that regard. I work at Best Buy in Fullerton (corner of harbor and imperial in Fullerton, CA), car was stole between 3 and 6pm, and no, Best Buy does not have exterior security cameras. I had a basic alarm system, quick disconnect steering wheel and the greatest defense was leaving it as stock looking at possible and never posting up pictures or modification lists on any forums. So here it is: Engine bay: 1995 Nissan 240SX SE w/ sunroof. Originally white, repainted to Spirit-R Grey (Paint code 25G. Looks similar to the S13 gunmetal grey) 95 SR20DET w/ GT2871 .64AR turbo, stainless steel turbo lines SARD FPR w/ stainless steel lines Megan Turbo Manifold Megan Turbo Elbow Megan Flex downpipe Megan Cat Delete Fujitsubo Legalis-R Exhaust with pre-muffler delete Hi-Pro Front Mount Intercooler (No BOV, hadn't installed it yet) S15 430CC injectors Summit Racing batter relocation kit (w/ battery box) Westco battery Interior: S13SilviaGirl's custom JDM shift boot and ebrake boots Momo steering wheel (not sure which one) Abell Quick Disconnect steering wheel hub Sparco 4pt buckle style harness (blue) Sabelt 4pt buckle style harness (red) Bride Brix II rewrapped in suede S14 Digital Climate Control Defi "Blue Racer" boost gauge JDM DIN slot cup holders Pioneer DEH-P6000UB Alpine 6.5" speakers x4 Old Alpine Amplifier Suspension and Rims: 350Z 18" track edition wheels painted black w/ polish lip(one center cap still silver) Tein SuperStreet Coilovers Godspeed swaybars Other: S15 digital climate control unit in the back (no wiring harness, just headunit) VIS OEM style CF hood painted to match the car Aerocatch locking hood pins ClearCorners.com LED turn signals, corner lights and side markers. Probably a few other things I'm missing, but that's the main stuff. Police report already filed, insurance already contacted. So if you stole my car, please leave it somewhere public ASAP so the cops can find it as quickly as possible. I would like to get the insurance money as quickly as possible, as I don't have a second car and need to get one as soon as humanly possible so I can get to and from work. If anyone has any information, please do give me a call at 626-224-2342, there is a sizeable cash reward for the person who's able to give me information regarding the theft of my car. Lets say ranging anywhere between $500 to $1500 depending on the quality of the lead, or if you prefer car parts, I can accommodate that as well. Unfortunately there are no pictures of my car taken by my camera, as that was my primary defense, anonymity. However, I see now that that doesn't work. Here is the link. http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=194615 Please if you could keep your eyes out for my friend that would be great. And PM me if you see anything. Thanks guys. -Brian
  9. Thanks I was trying to figure out how you guys did it. Now to find a welder.
  10. This is interesting I know some people that have optima's that haven't had a problem for several years now... But there is one thing that I have heard is that if you let the battery sit too long. Like 2 weeks. The battery will be dead. If you drive it on a normal basis it will stay charged. But that's my two cents.
  11. Holy Moly your interior looks brand new. Awesome car man.
  12. OR-JO Welcome, First off if you are looking to improve your hp there is a lot of different combinations that you could go with. But if you are planning on staying N/A. Easiest way to do it is work on the head. Here are some possible ideas for head work: 1. Bore it out / re-machined 2. New Cam Shaft and kit 3. Tilt the valves (if you are going with a more aggressive cam shaft then go with a longer valve.) 4. Adjustable cam timing sprocket If you are looking for throttle response look into getting a bigger throttle body if you are planning on boring out the head. Also a lighter flywheel will help with the rear end factor as well as an aluminum driveshaft (Quite pricey but helps reduce lag time to the rear wheels.) Since the motor will be taking a lot more air in you have to get that to come out. Since you got headers. Go with a straight pipe (Cat-back for some states). Free flowing air is better than back-pressure. Fuel pressure regulator is recommended by me. If you are looking for a little bit better gas mileage and a little bit more performance that's the way to go. There are some other things I am pretty sure I missed. But the best way to go is just increase your compression and you'll be fine. -Brian
  13. Here's mine. "The White Mistress":
  14. fhptom is probably right about this. But I did see that particular Z upclose at the Z show about 2 years ago. He restored the entire interior as the Z33. Same with the motor swap. But maybe it is the Z33 front end. Not sure either.
