  1. lol oops i just to excited i guess. well money wise idk, exactly.. lets just set aside the money part of it. and get down to business. i just want as much help as possible with the engine. AKA what kind of pistons can i use and rods Will TT pistons and rods work in my NA motor. so on..
  2. Well idk if you know about prochargers, but that is what im going to use. What model procharger you think i should get? There is a picture on procharger.com that shows a 300zx on there thats procharged. it used a P-1SC and it said he was running it at 14PSI. http://procharger.com/gallery/showtemp.php?market=5&idx=2110 The real wheel horsepower number is actually the flywheel number. well for at least the NA power one
  3. Im also asking what things can i delete from the motor to minimize complications. i know EGR and what else. Also if you have links to these delete's please show them as it will be a great help for me in the long run. Thank you
  4. well i want to SC it because its different, I dont know why but i dont want to do a conversion because everyone is doing those i just want to do a SC setup. I was going to run higher than 7psi at least 12psi is my goal. My horsepower goal is at least 380 horsepower at the wheels. Also what kind of Fabrication will be needed? i know custom intake, a mounting bracket for SC, those are just of the top of my head. Also i can do the custom fab work my self, at least most of it. My dad owns a machine shop, and my care nut friend knows pretty much everyone around him that can do anything. I did read the posted on weight reduction on those sites all 3 actually and im gonna be taking out at least 600lbs of useless creap weight. thanks for caring by the way.
  5. hello all my name is Eric and i need a ton of help i want to procharge my 1990 NA 300zx im converting it to a track car so everything is gonna go for weight saving. my question is do i buy TT parts aka pistons for the low compression and such or what please give me a break down of what i would need from the TT parts and NA parts. thank you and also tell me what you guys think of the idea.
  6. I took out all the surface scratches in 5 mins with a dish scrubbing green thing ( the more rough side ) and then used 600 grit sand paper to smooth it out and the 2 deep slashes are not all that bad.... but the one on the driver side is almost 4 inches long, lol... the other one is 1/2 inch
  7. Hello all, last night my girlfriend backed up into my 300zx. my front bumper was not painted yet ( thank god ), so its flat black and its got slight scratches on the surface and a decent deep cut ( MAYBE 1/8 deep ) and i was wondering what i can do to eliminate these marks because i went to the bodyshop and they said 500 with paint, and i was like F that... so please help me... i just want to not see them i was fine with my bumper not being painted. Thanks
  8. Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone knows what projectors would fit in the housing of a 300zx. People said Acura Tl, but i dont know if they will fit without major fab's. If anyone knows dimensions of good projectors please tell me.. I can barely see at night with my lights and it scares the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. Lawl I only need projectors, so please help me out THANKS!!!
  9. I almost ♥♥♥♥ myself when i saw this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-240-1972-Datsun-240Z-4-spd-Inline-6-205mo_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQihZ019QQitemZ290215264909QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW#ebayphotohosting
  10. Well then i think i will go with the VH45 single turbo I cant find any after market stuff though can you give me some links, aka forged pistons and rods, cams, oversized intake and exhaust valves. valve springs and retainers, etc i gonna do all the good stuff, and i can have back up on the vh45 swap, because i know a few guys on here that are doing it as well. This was the other engine i was going to use I gonna need to use a adapter plate to mate my z32 5 spd with the engine and if anyone can find one online post it here, there was a group buy on here somewhere for them
  11. I need one for the project i doing unless someone knows a place to get my ecu remapped completely I doing a single turbo 1uzfe with a 300zxtt 5spd behind it and need some kind of ecu please help
  12. Whats the major difference between single plane and dual plane cranks. and what does it do in performance wise i want to know every detail about the difference because i dont know what is it does one make the exhaust note sound more badass or what tell me everything i need to know so this will never leave my brain
  13. Back to the actual finding a v8, lawls, I putting a 1uz-fe in my 300zx (z32), people have posted a lil about them on this thread, and it was all true, people have revved them to 9k rpm on stock internals , but no one would recommand to do that, You can also upgrade them fairly easy and doesnt cost a whole lot, There light and not that big, quad cams and turbo happy Took me awhile to find the right v8 for my car and the 1uz-fe is it its got over 200 ft lb of torque at 1000 rpm's, do u better have some nice size tires, my 7.5's will never catch haha
  14. I have changed my mind about the r154 tranny i going to buy a brand new 1997+ spec z32 5SPD tranny for $1800, it bolts right up so it saves me a lot of time with fabricating the r154 to my car Now all there is to worry about is making a adapter plate to fit the z32 5spd to a 1uzfe If anyone SOMEHOW finds a adapter plate for that set-up please tell me but i highly doubt anyone will Best of luck to me and everyone
  15. The only fall back for the forged kit is its 2 grand !!! and i got to get my engine bored and stuff bleh bleh.... if anyone can find a better deal then forged pistons and rods with all connections and ARP bolts for less then $2000 tell me please And the 1uz should be rather light its all alum. and was made for lightness but i will weigh as much stuff as i can. i already know its going to be lighter then my vg30, thats a given. Hopefully everything turns out to the way i want it. Oh and when i pull my old motor out of my 300zx ( its a vg30de, the non turbo ) , i gonna sell a few parts off it aka upper plenum, TB's, and a few others. I can answer any other questions
